It has to be "intentional"...I mean that I wouldn't use the names in a sibset if you'd name the other siblings like Robert and Natasha, but only if it's a "theme", if you want to give all your children a name starting with an "E". Then I'd find them cute together.OR you'd have twins. Generally, I'm against giving twins names that are too similar, but to me, that would be George and Georgette or Jaden and Jade. Esme and Eden both have four letters and start with an "E", but they are not similar in the way I don't like.
So, I think Esme and Eden go well together in the two cases, not in a regular sibset.

I love Esme. Very elegant.I want to like Eden. I like the sound of it and the nn Edie is adorable. But the Garden of Eden / original sin thing gets in my way. Eden has always struck me as a good name for a soap opera vixen. Esme Charlotte

I LOVE Esme Celeste. Celeste would also have very significant meaning, because of a relation to Celestia. I also like:
Esme Vivien
Esme Jaqueline
Esme Patience

I think both are really nice and I've been thinking about them a lot lately myself. At the moment I prefer Eden though.I think they could work for sisters names, they start with the same letter, but they do end in different sounds.Eden and Michaela / Esme and BriannaEsme Tallulah, Esme Charlotte, Esme Lillian, Esme Olivia, Esme Lucinda, Esme Violet, Esme Rachel, Esme Rhiannon, Esme Alexandra

I think Eden and Esme would be too close for sisters, I also think the style and background of the two names is off. Esme has an old-fashioned sweetness and Eden has almost a trendiness to it. I would pair Eden with Michaela, Brianna and Kara because I think it best suits the style of those names. Esme just doesn't sound right with either of the names and Eden sounds good with all of them especially Kara! :)Esme is a lovely name and has a sweetness to it. As far as middle names how about:
Esme Fiona
Esme Margaret
Esme Opal
Esme Guinevere
Esme Louise
Esme Juliet
Esme Pearl
Esme Hope
Esme Rose
Esme Sage
Esme Noel / Noelle

Esme Beatrice
Esme Kathleen
Esme Katrina

Which do you prefer?
I like both. I much prefer Esmee spelt this way, but I can't choose between Esme and Eden.Would sisters Esme and Eden nn Edie be too close together?
A little, but doable. Would you feel like you had to name a third with an E name as well? if yes, then I don't like it, but if no then I think Esme and Eden are fine.Which name would you pair with Eden? Esme?:
Michaela Grace
Brianna Jillian
Kara Jane
With Eden, I'd say any of them could work, but the only one I like is Michaela (love this spelling) so that gets my vote. Esme seems a completley different style than your other favourites, but I think Michaela also sounds the best with Esme, so that gets my vote againMiddle names for Esme?

I prefer Esmée, but Esmé is alright. I used to like Eden, but now I dislike it. It strikes me as a little too daytime soap-opera for some reason. With Esmée:

Aurelie
Ophelia
Adelaide
