Thoughts on Vivienne
What are your thoughts on the name Vivienne? Do you prefer it spelled Vivienne, Vivien, or Vivian? I was set on between three and five possible girls' names until this little gem started to grow on me. Can you think of any middle names that would work well with it?Any feedback is appreciated!

I like Vivienne a lot as long as there's a distinction between that and Vivian / Vivien which I don't care for much (viv-ee-EN vs. VIV-ee-an).Combos:Vivienne Blythe
Vivienne Celeste

Vivienne Daphne
Vivienne Elisabeth
Vivienne Gabrielle
Vivienne Juliette
Vivienne Laurel
Vivienne Leila
Vivienne Marguerite
Vivienne Marielle
Vivienne Pascale

Vivienne Sophie

Vivienne Willow
Vivienne ZoeI guess you can tell that I like mainly French mns paired with Vivienne.

I love Vivien as in Vivien Leigh (real name Vivian Mary Hartley), though Vivian is usually the Brit boys' spelling, and prefer Vivien to Vivienne (though also like that very much).
I especially like Vivien with other six-letter names because I think it looks lovely and balanced:
Vivien Adria
Vivien Esther
Vivien Freya
Vivien Juliet
Vivien Levana
Vivien Rose
Vivien Sophie

Kind of sick of them, to be honest. They're not bad names, they're just trendy, imo.I prefer Vivien out of the three. Vivienne always seems to be pronounced wrong.

VivienneI have a soft spot for the name Vivienne and spelt this way its so romantic looking. I especially like the nickname Vivi really cute but can also be sophisticated. However the Vivian version to me doesn't do the name justice.I would go with a middle name that is French with perhaps 2 sylabols or 1 just because the name is long.

I really like it. I can't make up my mind which spelling I prefer. I used to like Vivian best, but now I hear it's masculine. Vivienne is lovely but a little over the top for me, so I guess my favourite is Vivien. I'ts so pretty. Vivien Elodie
Vivien Rose
Vivien Ottilie
Vivien Abigail
Vivien Claire
Vivien Willow
Vivien Celeste
Vivien Isabella
Vivien Elise:)

I like Vivian / Vyvyan as a GP for a boy, and I like Vivien and Viviana for girls, but not Vivienne for some reason. It seems very popular on these boards though.

I think it's very elegant and beautiful. My preferred spelling is Vivian, but it really depends on what fits best with the combo. To me Vivienne and Vivian have different feels. Vivian is dark and magical, while Vivienne is lighter and frillier. Vivien kind of confuses me when I look at it in trying to get an impression of if because it's like a merging of the other two spellings.

I love Vivienne, but I prefer the spelling Vivien. Vivian to me isn't quite feminine enough, while Vivienne seems to be overdoing it. Vivien strikes the right balance for me. I'd love to see a little Vivienne\Vivien\Vivian.
