My Grandfather somehow found a lot of his ancestors names, they go back until the early 1600's in
France and moved to Canada in the mid 1600's. I left the last names in for the ones who are long gone but took out the last names for the first 5 generation and
William and
Benjamin in the 6th and 7th for safety reasons! But there are 7 generations of 'F' which is my last name.
Hope you find them interesting!

I find
Etienne, Josephte, Delanne interesting, I have never heard of them, I see
Etienne is the french form of
Steven but the other two? Has anyone heard of them? Also
Amable, though after looking it up its French which makes sense.
I am also surprised about
Andre and
Rosa since they aren't really French?
Angelique Surprised me with several occurrences, same with
Jean Baptiste but I guess they are popular in French speaking areas. I was pleasantly surprised with
Sebastien.
Marie Lemarie gave me a chuckle, I realize there was no google and limited names back then but did
Joseph really needed to name his daughter a name that is already in her last name? lol. Also just the amount of Maries…
:)
Edit: I should also mention that this is just my Dad's Father's side of the family. My Dad's Mother's would be English names and my Mother's side would be Ukrainian.
Also make up some new names with the ones here, I'd love to see some!
Cheers
