HelpRe: WDYT of Laura?

I like Laura quite a bit, actually. It's one of those classics where I feel it would be more difficult to guess a person's age because it has always been in regular use -- not unlike Julia, Maria, Elizabeth, or Katherine. Laurel is nice as well although it's more difficult for me to pronounce. I'd only use it as a mn.

ETA that while I like Lauren somewhat (look and sound) and have known my share of them, it's more trendy and is already dated. Therefore, it holds less appeal for me. It also bugs me that Lauren began as a short form of Laurence.
