Purple Sibling Set
I met a young woman named Amethyst today. She told me her mom 'really loves purple' and named all her siblings after the colour. I had to ask what everyone's names were. I thought this crowd would appreciate.Violet
Amethyst
Aubergine
Phoenix & Gemini (twins)Apparently Phoenix is associated with purple-red colours and may have come from the Phoenicians, who made a type of purple dye. Or at least, that's what she said! For fun, what would you re-name this sibset if you had to use a colour theme?
Samantha

aubergine is pretty terrible. very phallic.I would go with:Viola
Ianthe
Sumire
Lilia
Sigal
I really like it! Aubergine is awesome! However, I hate Phoenix. Amethyst and Gemini are my favorites, but what's Gemini's connection to the theme? Indigo (boy)
Cyan (girl)
Robin ('s egg)
Cobalt and Aquamarine (boy and girl)

I definitely don't think purple with Phoenix and how is Gemini related to purple? It's also crazy to me to name a twin Gemini. Obviously, as everyone has commented Aubergine is awful. It wouldn't be if it was on sound alone and wasn't already a thing. I'm guessing Aubergine is a girl and Phoenix and Gemini are boys, but I am unsure. Purple is my favorite color, but I would definitely do it differently.Mauve
Lilac
Wisteria
Indigo & AsterI'm going to try with other colors.

Aubergine and Gemini (?? what's Gemini got to do with purple) when Lavender, Indigo, and Lilac were right there??
...Ok, let's do a Red set:Rose
Scarlett
Ruby
Garnet
Coral & Barney
Sweet baby Jesus.Violet is fine. Amethyst and Phoenix I hate as a name but at least I've encountered them. The others are big no's.The entire concept is dreadful.
It's a pretty sibset, in theory, but I'd be more likely to use these names for Sims than real people.I'm going with reddish hues for this game.Carnelian (Nelli)
Alizarin (Aliz)
Burgundy (Burgie)
Garnet & Ruby (Twins)

oh man ...This sibset sounds like it was named by a twelve-year-old.
Aubergine is the worst one. It's a fricking eggplant.
Hey, go for broke, suggest to name the next one Plum!If we're talking directly the color purple, there's always the varying shades: Fuschia, Magenta, Mauve.
Or there's items colored purple, such as flowers: Lilac, Lavender, Iris, Orchid, Wisteria, Pansy, Hyacinth, Heliotrope, etc.My favorite color is actually blue, yet I think I would go for a yellow pattern if I was to do a color theme.
Marigold
Daisy
Vanilla (hey, if Aubergine gets a pass, so does this)
Amber and SaffronWish I could do Sunflower, its my second favorite flower, but I'd hate the nickname Sunny. And I could never do Citrine, because it sounds way too close to latrine for my liking.
Well... I love Violet and Amethyst, Gemini is surprisingly charming, and Phoenix is sparky. But I was not expecting Aubergine! I guess I shouldn't be surprised about it, we have names like Cerise and Apple out there. Some other purple-y names I like: Lavender, Violeta, Viola. Maybe Heather and Heath count too.
Violet & Amethyst I love! Phoenix, Gemini, & Aubergine aren't my style. If I had to use a color theme, I think I'd use red. I don't like red very much, but the names associated with red are beautiful: Cerise, Rory, Roselle, Ruby, & Scarlet.I also think the purple set could perhaps be improved by using Ianthe, Iris, & Jacinda instead of Aubergine, Phoenix, & Gemini. Purple's my favorite color, and I too am quite obsessed with it!

Violet and Pheonix I understand.
Amethyst is okay.
Gemini and Aubergine I feel sorry for.
I like Violet and Amethyst.
Aubergine?????Oh, if they go to any other English speaking country. Aubergine is what everyone else calls eggplants.
I live in a French-English area. They're called aubergines in French. So, her mom was fully aware of that association, haha. But I have to admit, there are other purple names I would have chosen before Aubergine.
Do you know if she had a nickname? I'm think Aubrey could work as a nickname for Aubergine.
That is... interesting.
She was aware of the association and still named her kid eggplant???Hahaha
I would say 70% of what makes Eggplant a goofy name choice is the fact that it's called Egg-Plant.So a lot of the goofiness fades in another language.IMO.
True.Although would you really want to be called Carrot?
