Sibling for the Royal baby?
Another royal baby is in the works. What would you name a sibling to George Alexander Louis?
If I'm being reminiscent I would go with Diana Elizabeth Caroline and Henry Albert William. If I'm not I would go with Adelaide Sophia Charlotte and Henry Edward Arthur.
If I was really crazy I would go with Amelia Louise Wallis and Augustus Christian Mountbatten.

I think for a girl, maybe something like Charlotte Victoria Elizabeth or maybe Victoria Charlotte Elizabeth. Alexandra was also suggested at one point. In which, maybe something like Alexandra Charlotte Elizabeth or Alexandra Elizabeth Victoria. Also there's a possibility of Victoria Angela Marguerite or something with Angela or Marguerite as the middle name like Queen Elizabeth II's mother. Mary Angela Marguerite would be pretty.
For a boy, maybe Alexander William Edward or Andrew William Edward or Philip Andrew William or something like that.

IMO, there's no chance of it being named Diana - not even as a mn. Too controversial.
My feeling is that they will go for Alice or Victoria for a girl and Frederick or Arthur for a boy. No prominent royals have those names but they are popular traditional names within the royal fam. Middle names will be Elizabeth, Margaret, Catherine, William, Philip, Henry.

I think Alice and Rose might be possible for a girl. Although Rose isn't that Royal-ish. For a boy it be nice to see something like Arthur because I think George and Arthur go really well together. I think Elizabeth will be in there somewhere if it's a girl, and possibly Diana as well.
Alice Elizabeth Diana
Rose Elizabeth Frances
Arthur Frederick James
Alfred Henry Charles
or more out there:
Hugh Archibald Robert
Matilda Cecily Eleanor

Oh, man, not THIS again.
Well, I don't think they will use Diana as a first name ever because it's too dated. I don't have a clue what they will really use, and I don't care...I like Alice and Arthur, so I'll just piggyback on whoever suggested that. I'm probably wrong, though, because I suck at predicting these things.

Yeah, but they have a smaller name pool to pick from, so having a dated name doesn't matter. I don't think that Edmund and Adelaide have been used for a really long time, and Louise is Prince Edward's daughter. But I think she's just Lady Louise, not Princess, so maybe they'd use it, but only if Beatrice, Eugenie, Peter, Zara and James are also on the list.
^Cosigning this.
I'm with you on this one. I'm good with the conversation happening, just not every week. :)
ditto
As soon as I saw on the news, I thought "Oh boy, here we go again."

They'll probally go for something quite tradtional
but I'm going Henrietta Caroline Maude & Edmund Albert James Cambridge Hetty and Ned
Loving Adelaide Sophia Charlotte.
Great-Granny would hate Wallis! Think Elizabeth still holds a grudge over her father's early death which may not have happened if Edward hadn't abdicated the throne 1936
Obviously because this child will be in line to the throne they can't go for too ott like Tiana or Ptolemy

Hahahaha it would be AMAZING if they used Wallis
I'm going to guess Mary Diana Caroline for a girl. For a boy, hmm. Arthur would be awesome but unlikely I bet. I'd also love Albert but I don't know if there's a precedent set for a king Albert and they are concerned about that sort of thing, aren't they. I wouldn't be surprised if they used William, Edward, or Henry even though those names are already in use. Maybe John? Back to basics.

Even if the baby is named Albert, there's a president of using a middle name as the regnal name. (Is that a word? George IV and Edward VII were Prince Albert. Queen Victoria's fn was Alexandrina.) As long as a middle name would also be a good name, the kid will be fine.
But then, there's also Prince Albert of Monaco. Maybe they wouldn't take that into consideration. Who knows.

Although there's definitely a precedent for a British monarch to use a middle name upon ascending to the throne, I'm of the opinion that this is very unlikely to happen in this day and age. In this age of mass media, when many millions more people become familiar with the faces of the royal family than in past times, and are able to see and hear them speak, and when they, along with all other celebrities, can become as familiar as a friend or family member, I don't think it will fly to say, "Call me William no more, I'm now King Arthur."
No John. The British royal family feels that there is a curse on the name John, for them. The only king who was named John has a bad reputation, and the last prince to be named John, the fifth son and youngest child of King George V and Queen Mary, was an epileptic who also had some sort of mental disability, possibly autism, and was kept in seclusion, and died of a seizure at age 13. Seriously, they think it's cursed.
Huh! That's very interesting. Love a good cursed name!
Of course it will have a name selected from the same pool of a dozen or so predictable, traditional possibilities, which have been gone over many times on the board and in the press.
So, if I was in charge of naming this new offspring, I would select something as far removed from that tiny pool as possible.
Gina Sue
Travis Wayne.

Ooh, Adelaide Sophia Charlotte is lovely!
I can't really guess except to say that I imagine Elizabeth, Charles, Henry, Michael and James will end up being a mn (can't see them used as a fn since they're names of current family members). Ditto with Diana although as a second child, it's possible that Will and Kate might use it as a fn. Caroline and Charlotte might be a possibility as well. My money is on Victoria. If it's a boy, I'd like to see Arthur used. Either George and Victoria or George and Arthur sounds wonderful.

Top bets are already for James, Arthur and Victoria.
But failing this I would like to see:
Rose Victoria Diana
or
Edmund Arthur Philip
I don't think they will use Henry as a first name, not with Prince Harry being so young and in the media. I also do not think they will use Diana as a first name, too much stress... But seeing Caroline, Albert, Adelaide, or Louise anywhere would be nice!

Girl - Margaret Elizabeth Frances (the Frances would honor Diana, it was her middle name)
Boy - Henry Charles Arthur
Boy - Henry Charles Arthur
