Alfred Philip William (more)
I admit Arthur is the obvious choice for a boy, since it fits so many of the pattern they followed with George and Charlotte: popular, traditional, and with royal precedent, but not used by any close family members. However, I'm going to pick different alternative: Alfred (called Alfie "en famille"), which is very much in the same style. For middle names, I think Philip (after the Duke of Edinburgh) and William (after the father, but mostly because he was born on Shakespeare's birthday).Alternative middle names: Michael, James, Henry, Peter, Francis, David. Other first names I can see them going with: Thomas, Frederick, or Albert.Louis, Charles, and Alexander would be lovely but I'm excluding them since they've been used for the other kids. James, Henry or Edward are already used in the immediate family.More left-field choices I would truly love to see but don't believe they will use (since W&K seem very conventional): John (but always known as Jack), Leopold (known as Leo) or Edmund.A Scottish or Welsh name would be lovely, too. And why not a Greek or Scandinavian name as a nod to Prince PhilipChristian, Nicholas, Theodore, or Constantine? Or a royal European name that hasn't been used by the British RF, something like Maximilian, Sebastian, Oscar, Felix, or Gabriel? Or more obscure British royal names like Augustus, Harold, or Edgar?

I would love it if they used Theodore or Augustus! It's very very unlikely of course but I also thought Charlotte was unlikely.

Alfred was once my pick for a boy.

They won’t use John as a first name, it’s seen as bad luck.

I know, but perhaps W&K aren't superstitious. Jack seems the type of name they would like, but obviously it isn't traditional/royal enough as a full name.

I don’t think W&K have the final say lol. The name choice will be heavily guided by senior family members.
