[Opinions] Annabel
My husband and I have been thinking of this name for a daughter. What do you think? I have no idea where it stands in terms of popularity. Some middle names we were thinking of were Annabel Sarah
Annabel Olivia
Annabel Catherine
Annabel Elizabeth Our last name is 1-syllable, if that helps with "flow" Thanks in advance :)

Thank you so much for your input. It looks like most people preferred Annabel Catherine, which would be lovely with our last name. I'm very happy with it!!! Thank you!I'll have to do another post for our boys names at some point so I can get some good input :)

Annabel Catherine is my favourite from your list. I prefer Annabella. I think it's softer and prettier.

I love Annabel (this spelling only), and while it's probably going to go up in popularity, it hasn't yet reached top 100 so not that much to worry about :)Of yours I like Annabel Catherine best, followed by Annabel Sarah, but they're all a bit typical imo.Suggestions:

Annabel Georgia
Annabel Grace
Annabel Harriet
Annabel Holly
Annabel Ingrid
Annabel Jasmine

Annabel Josephine
Annabel Martha
Annabel Rosalie
Annabel Ruth
Annabel Sophie

I really don't like it to be honest, it's much to frilly for my taste.
As for popularity, it fits right into the current -bel(le) trend.
Of your combo's my favorite is Annabel Sarah

Annabel - I love this spelling, I'm so tired of Annabelle and Annabella.
Annabel Elizabeth is such a classic - a name for all time - beautiful on a baby and elegant on a woman - EXCELLENT!!!!!

I love Annabel! I don't like many Ann- names, but Annabel is an exception for whatever reason. Annabel Catherine gets my vote.

I LOVE Annabel, and this is my favorite spelling. It's so gorgeous and pretty underused. Right now (actually, as of 2006, which is the latest data available) it's #848, so that's pretty uncommon. If you add up Annabelle (which is #206) and Annabel, it becomes somewhere between 176 and 177.Annabel Catherine flows the best to me (though I prefer Annabel Katherine). AnnabeL ELizabeth and AnnabeL OLivia have way too many Ls too close together. Annabel Sarah is also nice.Other ideas:
Annabel Charlotte
Annabel Caroline
Annabel Eve
Annabel Emmeline
Annabel Grace
Annabel Genevieve
Annabel Hope
Annabel Iris
Annabel Julia
Annabel Juliet
Annabel Jasmine
Annabel Jane
Annabel June
Annabel Mary
Annabel Natalia
Annabel Naomi
Annabel Sophia / Annabel Sofia

It's so funny that you mentioned Annabel Victoria - we were considering that combo since Victoria is my middle name, I just wasn't sure about the two together. It just made both names seem "frilly" but that's just my opinion. Anyone have thoughts on Annabel Victoria?

I like Annabel Olivia best (and a nice compromise since you mentioned below it's your DH's favorite ;b). I also prefer Annabel to Annabelle. Anything ending in -belle or -bella seems overly frilly to me. Anna is much more popular than Annabel, but it's not sickeningly overused imo.

I see that Delphi=Blue gave you the popularity stats so I'll skip that. I will say that Annabel sounds very "now" as -bel(le) have recently regained popularity and Isabella is one of the most popular names for girls at the moment. To some people that's a positve, to some it's a negative. I think Annabel Catherine is a lovely combo. Annabel Olivia and Annabel Elizabeth don't do much for me because of the repeating "el ol" and "el el" sounds. Annabel Sarah isn't bad, I just don't like it as much as Annabel Catherine.

My cousins name is Annabelle Catherine, she'll be 7 in October. I really, really like Annabel/le, and I think the combo is very nice. As for the other combos, I don't think they really flow that well, but Annabel Olivia is my 2nd favourite. If you search the names you can click on Popularity, and see. Annabel was 848 in the US for 2006, while Annabelle was 206. I wouldn't call either ranking too popular- and popularity shouldn't stop you using a name you love anyway.here's a pic of my Annabelle :)

I love Annabel, but it seems really sticky-sweet in the combos you've made. (Except for Annabel Catherine, which is alright). Here are some combos I like:Annabel June
Annabel Phaedra
Annabel Zora
Annabel Mira
Annabel Eleanor
Annabel Flora
Annabel Josephine

It definitely isn't popular. I really love it.The combo on my list is Annabel Daisy.
Off you list, I like Annabel Catherine and Annabel Olivia and Annabel Elizabeth.

Oh, Annabel Daisy is lovely. Yeah, I figured it wasn't as popular as Olivia (my husband's choice) so I was hoping we could use Annabel Olivia as a compromise but I'm not sure whether the two names go well together. Thanks for the reply :)
