[Opinions] Sage (male)
I have developed a mild flash-in-the-pan obsession with Sage (for a male only), but I am not sure how to use it in a combo. It seems filler when used as a middle name. How would you incorporate Sage into a tasteful, handsome combo? I also love desert sage tea, its hue would be my first choice in choosing a primary wall color, and I love the scent of the plant in general. The only combo that is buzzing for me right now is Sage Adair, but I pronounce Adair uh-DARE (tonic second syllable), which I know isn't the Scottish way. In fact, that tonic second syllable middle name might be preferable. Here are my favorite male names currently, for your consideration:Arthur
Atlas
Asa
Benjamin
Casper
Daniel
Edmund
Edwin
Ezra
Felix
Gabriel
Henry
Isaac
Jasper
James
John
Jethro
Luke
Louis
Micaiah
Micah
Nathaniel
Oliver
Peter
Thomas
Victor

Sage is not at all my usual sort of thing, but somehow I like it anyway, and I would enjoy coming across one. I like Sage Adair, too. I've only ever heard Adair as uh-DARE, in all parts of the UK - can you give more info on this other pronunciation?I like quite a few from your list of names but Sage Isaac & Sage Louis are my favourites. Sage Elias and Sage Reuben come to mind too (although that last one may not work in countries where it's a sandwich!)

Oh, that is interesting. I have heard other Americans pronounce Adair as AY-dare, and I thought that I was the one who was incorrect by saying uh-DAIR, but thank you for clearing up that confusion.Sage Isaac and Sage Louis are great, too.

Sage Adair is good strong name. The use of Adair makes the name undoubtedly masculine, and the two names flow well. Using Sage as a middle name:
Lysander Sage
Arthur Sage
Casper Sage
Ezra Sage
Micah Sage
Gabriel Sage
Aristarchus Sage
Galen Sage
Daniel Sage
Jasper Sage
Alan SageAs a first name:
Sage Luke
Sage Alexander
Sage Evander
Sage Gerard
Sage Montgomery
Sage Aristophanes
Sage Abram
Sage Glendower
Sage Keith
Sage Ferdinand
Sage Augustus
Sage Reuel

I really like Sage for a boy, and for a boy only. I'd never considered it until I encountered a little boy Sage irl. WISH I STILL HAD MY COMBOS I'll never not be sad about that. I had some awesome Sage ones.Balthazar Sage, that's the only one I can remember. I think it would go super well with softer, more subdued names too like many on your list. Sage Ezra, Sage Henry, or Sage Gabriel would be lovely. Nathaniel Sage, OOHHHH I'm stealing that. So, uh, how else do you pronounce Adair? uh-DARE is the only way I know how. It made me think of Sage Alastair though. I like it.

I associate Sage with the plant but also with "wisdom", so for complementary meaning, how about...Sage Reuel
Sage Eben
Sage Alastair / Alasdair
Sage TimothyFor the same reason, I also think Sage pairs well with Micaiah from your list.Other suggestions...Sage Neville
Sage Errol
Sage Beauregard
Sage Lionel
Sage Ferris
Sage WillemI realize these don't suit your tonic preference; my only idea there is Sage Léon, but I'm not sold on the sound of it.I like all of the names on your list, with these being my faves...Arthur
Benjamin
Casper
Daniel
Edmund
Ezra
Felix
Henry
Jasper
Jethro
Nathaniel

I like Sage for a boy. It's simple to spell and to say, and just slightly head turning enough to garner some nice attention. Love the color it invokes, very calming indeed -- though, for whatever reason, I do think of a punk-ish, blonde, spikey haired kid. That's a good thing. :)I'm not a huge fan of Sage Adair, it's a bit flimsy IMO. Not awful, though.Hard to pair up but let's see:Sage Willem
Sage Aaron
Sage Abram
Sage Gregor
Sage Micah
Sage Louis
Sage Laurence
Sage Peter
Sage Pierce
Sage Oliver
Sage NathanielI've noticed I really like your taste in names, btw! Keep on keepin on.
