I really like Clemence and wish it was more usable in the US for a non French speaking person. It's got a really elegant sound and I love the meaning.Consuelo seems masculine to me, and I did not realize it was a feminine name until I read the body of your post.

I realize that both names are indeed feminine, but both sound very masculine to me.

Clemence is adorable. I do prefer Clemency though. Consuelo, however, is the name of a very selfish, horrible girl I know therefore the name will be forever tainted.Clemence Odile is lovely.
