[Opinions] Mischa, Sasha, Aleksei...
Are Mischa, Sasha, and Aleksei too feminine to place on a boy? What as a mn if not a fn.
What do you think of the name:Aleksei Mischa ?

I love Misha, Aleksei and Sasha on boys! Definately not too feminine.
Aleksei Mischa (prefer Misha) is nice, but I would prefer something longer. Like Aleksei Valentine, Aleksei Maksimilian, Aleksei Akady, Aleksei ConstantinePhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Absolutely not. Sure, Sasha and Misha (I prefer this spelling) are unisex nicknames, but they're just as common on men as they are on women. There's nothing feminine about Aleksei, as it's always been a masculine name.Aleksei Mishca is a very nice combo. I like it.

Nope, nope, and nope! :-)However, I definitely prefer Mischa and Sasha as nicknames, for Mikhail and Aleksandr respectively.Aleksei Aleksandr is quite repetitive in looks, sound, and (partially) meaning, so I would go for Aleksei Mikhail.

Aleksei is a male Russian name. I don't get this fear of "too feminine", it is an old Russian name. Besides, he could always use Alek or Alex as nn.But Sasha and Mischa are nn, I would name a boy Alexander and Michael or Michail and use Sasha or Mischa as nn."You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."

I think that Sasha is cute on a girl and a boy but I'm not crazy for Mischa on a boy. I think Aleksei is very cute on a boy. But I think that if you use Mischa and Aleksei together that it would be "too much"But it is a nice combo.

Due to the popularity of actress Mischa Barton, I think this might be seen as rather feminine in the US. I know that I have never heard this name, except for the actress. Aleksei definitely doesn't look too feminine to me though.Britney Tamber

Even though I have a daughter Sasha, I don't think so. I mean, I think most people in America will think Sasha is a girl on paper, but it will work in person. Mischa and Aleksei seem solidly male to me.

I think all are fine for boys, but I prefer Mischa as a nickname for Mikhail and Sasha as a nickname for Aleksander. ¡VIVA ESPAÑA!
