Usable Greek names (ancient and modern)
The Petra post below inspired me to do this. Petra has been in my top 10 for ages now, and I think it is totally, 100% usable. Here are some more that for the most part I also see usable.GIRLS:
Aella (best name meaning EVER: "whirlwind")
Althea
Andromeda
Athene (long-time favorite)
Chrysanthe (prefer Chrysanthemum)
Filippa
Hermione
Ioanna
Ianthe (adore this)
Ilithyia
Lysistrata (it's out there, but I think it's ok as a mn)
Nephele
Nikoleta (nn Nik? Oh man so cool!)
Pandora
Parthenia
Penelope
Persephone (loved this for years)
Petra
Phaedra
Sibyl / Sibylla
Timothea
Thais
Vasiliki
Xanthe (always wished this was my middle name)
Xenia
Xenovia
Zoe (a bit too popular, though)BOYS:
Aeson
Alexis (huge favorite)
Apollo
Ares
Constantine (duh.)
Deimos (means "terror", but it's such an awesome name)
Demetrios
Filippos
Gavril (I used to think it sounds like a sword from Warcraft, but now I like it)
Iason
Ioannes
Jason
Matthias
Nikodemos (I hate Nicholas, but this is super appealing)
Pallas
Pavlos
Pyrrhus (too cool)
Thales
Tycho
Vlasis
ZephyrEdited to add Andromeda, as LuzDeTuVida mentioned that I clearly missed. =P

I like quite a few of them. Especially Athene (I came across Athenodora in some reading a little while ago. Cool, am I right?), Xanthe (My mum works with babies and has a couple of Xanthes. It is the only name that she has ever said that she really likes. I'm so with you in wishing it were your middle name!) Constantine, Tycho, Vlasis and Zephyr.I also have a soft spot for Phoebe.

My favorites are Pandora, Persephone, Phaedra, Xanthe, and Xenovia for girls, and Ares and Zephyr for boys.I have a distant cousin named Althea who is around 11 or 12. I wish this name was used more often.
