Adeline and Evelyn
At the moment these are my two favourite names for my baby should she be a girl. Some questions:1. Which do you prefer?2. Do you like the names Adeline Charlotte and Evelyn Maria?3. If choose one could I use the other in the future for a little sister or are they too similar?4. Do you think I could use two middle names, for example Adeline Charlotte Lavender or Evelyn Maria Leonie? Do you prefer just one middle name.5. If you don't like the above names, here are the other names for girls on my (updated) list :)Claudia

1. Which do you prefer? - I slightly prefer Adeline (pronounced Add-ah-line) but both are gorgeous. 2. Do you like the names Adeline Charlotte and Evelyn Maria? - yes, both combos are lovely 3. If choose one could I use the other in the future for a little sister or are they too similar? - I wouldn't because of the similar endings, even though they sound different. What about Adeline and Eve or Adelaide and Evelyn? 4. Do you think I could use two middle names, for example Adeline Charlotte Lavender or Evelyn Maria Leonie? Do you prefer just one middle name. - I prefer one mn, but if one of the mn's is a family name or has special significance, it doesn't seem so bad. 5. If you don't like the above names, here are the other names for girls on my (updated) list :)

1. Which do you prefer? Evelyn but Adeline is less common, which is a plus. I love the name Adelyn / Adalyn, but I'm not sure if it's too trendy for your tastes. 2. Do you like the names Adeline Charlotte and Evelyn Maria? I don't care for Charlotte and Maria but I like Adeline and Evelyn. 3. If choose one could I use the other in the future for a little sister or are they too similar?
I don't think they're too similar if you're pronouncing the end of Adeline like the word "line" or as "leen". 4. Do you think I could use two middle names, for example Adeline Charlotte Lavender or Evelyn Maria Leonie? Do you prefer just one middle name. Two middle names seem fine to me. 5. If you don't like the above names, here are the other names for girls on my (updated) list :)Claudia - nms

1. Both are lovely but I love Adeline best.
2. Yes, they are both lovely. Are Charlotte and Maria family names? Otherwise Evelyn Marie might flow a little better.
3. It depends. If you use nn, they are not too similar (Ada, Addie, Eva, Evie).
4. Just do what you prefer. If you have many names you love, why not use two mn? Where I live (Sweden), it seems that two mn is the norm.
5. I love Anabel (prefer it spelt Annabel)."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

Here's an idea for you Hannah-SueIn the Names Games Board you could do a CAF with options, and the options being the names you like. This way you may be able to find many pretty name combos you havn't though of with the names you like!

Evelyn Charlotte

Thanks for your help.I like Ade-LINE and Ade-LEEN. The first time I heard the name was on a French exchange student, so I always think of it as Ade-LEEN, although most people do not pronounce it that way here! I know what you mean about Maria, but my husband loves it. He thinks it sounds religious. We'll see!And I love Adeline Madeleine :P

1. Which do you prefer? Evelyn.2. Do you like the names Adeline Charlotte and Evelyn Maria? Yes. Both combos are nice.3. If I choose one could I use the other in the future for a little sister or are they too similar? What about using Evelyn Maria and using Charlotte Adeline instead? That way the names sound a bit more different.4. Do you think I could use two middle names, for example Adeline Charlotte Lavender or Evelyn Maria Leonie? Do you prefer just one middle name. You could use two, but I prefer one.5. If you don't like the above names, here are the other names for girls on my (updated) list :)Claudia - Not really my style, but it is nice.

Thanks, I'm not sure about Charlotte as a first name, but I would consider using Adeline as a middle name.

I like Adeline, my neighbor across the street has a one yr old daughter named Adeline Claire nn Addy. She is adorable.Adeline Charlotte sounds ok, but I would stick to one mn I am not really big on the two mn thing.

I like both combos but have you ever thought about Charlotte Maria?? Out of the two up there I prefer Evelyn Maria. I think they do sound too similar and might not be best for sibblings (and this is coming from me being the one who wants to name my kids Jack & Jake lol). I like two middle names but I think it's going to depend on the sound of it and if it flows nicely. Both those combos with 2 middle names I think are really lovely.
Some ideas from the names you like:
Natalia Anabel
Anabel Sofia
Imogen is a really nice name and I think there's not enough Imogen's out there.
Imogen Anabel Lavender
Imogen Lavender
Imogen Leonie (another nice name not used enough!)I hope I've been some help =)

I was more into boys names but being on here in the last few days (I don't really have anything to do 'cause it's the holidays lol) I have seen heaps of really pretty girls names brought up that I never would've thought about. Imogen being one of them.

My vote is for Adeline. I've never really warmed up to Eveyln. :( But it does have cute nickname potential: Evie. Adeline Charlotte is gorgeous, and though I like the name Lavender, Adeline Charlotte Lavender seems a bit too pretentious. A shorter second middle name would be nice and complementary, like Adeline Charlotte Rose or Adeline Charlotte Maria. As for the one versus two middle names, I don't see a problem with having two middle names if they complement the other names instead of sounding like an obvious add-on.Another combo that I think would be lovely (using your names) is Imogen Lavender Sofia or Imogen Sofia Lavender. Imogen Lavender and Sofia Lavender are pretty, as well.

Thanks!I thought being pretentious was best avoided too! Using Rose might be nice because it is my mother in law's name :) I'm glad you like Imogen, it does sound pretty with Sofia.
