What are usable names with negative meaning?
For example, both Mary and Mara can mean “bitter”, which is obviously negative. But many people think they sound nice and they have been quite popular as well. Can you think of some other examples?

Claudia - lame, crippled
Cecilia - blind
Delilah - weak, delicate (well, the delicate bit can be seen in a positive light, like if you're referring to a delicate flower, but definitely not weak)
Emily - rival
Mallory - unfortunate
Caleb - dog (one of the possible meanings, anyway)That's about all I can think of.

Claudia and Persephone. I actually love Persephone and would like it see it on someone else. I also like Cecily.

I have a whole list of names like this :) I call it "opposite magic". A lot of my names are possibly not considered "useable" because I prefer very unusual names in general, so I will try to find the most reasonable ones:Alda "old war"
Amaia "the end"
Atalia "afflicted of Yahweh"
Barbara "barbarian, foreign"
Bellona "to fight"
Blaise "stammer, lisp"
Brennan "son of sorrow, little teardrops"
Cassian, Cassius "vain, empty"
Cecil, Cecily "blind"
Claude, Claudia, Claudette "lame, crippled"
Delilah "weak, languishing"
Dinah "judged"
Dolores "sorrow"
Gisele "hostage"
Jacob "supplanter"
Leah "weary, tired"
Livia "envious"
Lyssa "rage, rabies"
Mallory "unfortunate, unlucky"
Megaera "to grudge, a shrew"
Orchid "testicle"
Patience "to suffer"
Rebecca "snare, trap, noose"
