[Opinions] Maria...
WDYT of Maria? It just kind of jumped up and bit me in the face the other day, when it came up in conversation, and I can't get it out of my mind. WDYT of these combos:
Maria Juniper Pearl
Claudia Victoria June
Diego Jacob KeesAny other suggestions for jazzy middle names for Maria?

I like Maria a lot, especially as a first name. It's refreshing.Maria Juniper Pearl - Not a big fan of Juniper, but it's bearable. Pearl I loathe, and I don't think the "per" sounds in Juniper and Pearl go well together.Claudia Victoria June - I don't really like any of the names, sorry.Diego Jacob Kees - I love Diego, and Diego Jacob is nice, but Kees looks like keys. If I get the pronunciation right it's not bad.Maria Xanthe Juniper
Maria Calanthe Juniper
Maria Callista
Maria Daphne
Maria Jessamine
Maria PersephoneI like it with an "-ee" name.

I love Maria. Everyone says it's so common but I've only known one my entire life (middle school). I like Maria Pearl (sans Juniper).Other combos: Claudia is nms but the combo flows well. I really love Diego but not the way Jacob Kees runs together.

It's very common in my family, so I've never really given it much thought, to be honest. It is quite pretty though. The combos sound fine together. Love Diego. :)

It happened to me too! I love Maria... much over Marie... It's classic.

I’m beginning to really like Maria, I used to hate it because it so popular but I’m definitely warming up to it.

Maria is totally awesome.I makes me angry that "Maria"'s are stereotypically Hispanic women, when in fact this name has run in my (Irish) family for generations. I prefer it over the boring Mary and overused Marie, and am generally suprised that there are very few white, black and asian women bearing this name. The Bronte sisters' mother was Maria, as was one of the girl's herself, who died relatively young.I love Maria. As for the combos, the only names I generally love are Maria and Claudia (despite it's meaning), but I like Juniper, Pearl, Victoria and June.Maria Rosalind
Maria Elaine
Maria Ariel or Ariella
Maria Delphine
Maria Violetta
Maria Carlotta
Maria Susannah
Maria Helene
Maria Lisette
Maria Cecilia
Maria Bethany
Maria Patricia
Maria Viviana
Maria Celestine or CelestinaI like these combos, and I hope you do too.

Thank you! Maria Celestine sounds lovely, though it is perhaps a little heavy-handed on religious references for me :-) Maria Carlotta is lovely too - Charles and Charlotte are family names for me, so it could work out in many ways! Maria Bethany is also very sweet.

I love Maria!Always haveloved it. It's classic, but never outdated, and not trendy either. Everybody knows how to spell and say it, and it's obvious that it belongs toa girl. I would have loved to use it, but my husband doesn't like it. He went to school with an obnoxious girl named Maria and all the kids called her Diarrhea Maria or sometimes just Diamaria. :(Maria AprilMaria BiancaMaria ClaireMaria DorothyMaria ElaineMaria FlorenceMaria GeorgetteMaria HopeMaria IvyMaria JoannaMaria KateMaria Lucillemaria NaomiMaria opalmaria Paigemaria RosalieMaria StellaMaria TamarMaria ValenciaMaria Willow

Oh, thank you! Some great suggestions. I love Maria Naomi: that's one that I might be able to sway my BF with, too, as he doesn't think a lot of Maria, but loves Naomi. Also loving Maria Claire, Maria Ivy, Maria Hope, Maria Tamar and Maria Willow :-)

Maria Juniper Pearl -- I love all three names. But I wouldn't put Juniper and Pearl next to each other. The "-per" and "perl" sounds are too similar. Claudia Victoria June -- Oh, the temptation to use ancient Roman Junia to round out this gorgeous trio is great. Claudia Junia Victorine? Diego Jacob Kees -- Kees is new to me. I like the flow.

Thanks for the comments! Most of the mn's are family names - Juniper being the exception :-) Pearl for my Mum Margaret, Victoria for my BF's deceased sister, June for my Nana Joan, Jacob for my Pop, and Kees for BF's Dad (who's name is Cornelius, but pretty much everyone call's him Kees or Keesie, which is pronounced similar to Casey).I didn't really think about the 'per' sounds - but you're right, it is a little much. One last question - do you think Margot and Maria are too similar for a sibset? I would love to use Margot, for my mother, but I'm liking Maria more than Margot at the moment...eek, decisions :-/

Maria is beautiful, but is there a reason that her middle names would be the full name of one of the titular characters in Benny and Joon? :)Let me think on jazzy mns, kay? Array

Lol, it's been a while since I saw that movie, I forgot that Joon's middle name is Pearl! No, no particular reason, just happy coincidence :-) I've always had a thing for Juniper, and Pearl would be for my mother, Margaret - the only alternatives to Margaret that I really like are Margot and Pearl (Megan is okay, but I wouldn't want to use it), so I just popped it in there. Thanks for the reply!
