[Opinions] Gretel
Ok, before I even start, I know that Gretel isn't gonna be a fan favourite here. It's not many people's cup of tea. But I love it so, and keep meaning to get around to finding the perfect middle name for it, but whenever I try, I can't come up with anything. I get stumped.Kind souls, would you please help me think of some middle names for my Gretel? Don't be shy - put any idea you have out there. I love whimsy and strange names, so anything goes (seriously, my current "favourites" are Gretel Primrose and Gretel Adventure, so...yeah). Thank you!

Dude. I really like Gretel Katherine even though I'm not a Katherine fan. Gretel Wren is ADORABLE. Gretel Harpsichord is astounding. I love harpsichords! Is there a song about a Gretel that has torn her dress? I gotta find it.

While I do prefer Grete and Griet, and Greta (especially Griet though), I do not think Gretel is too terrible. I think it needs a vowel-starting middle name.Gretel Amelie
Gretel Adeline
Gretel Adelie
Gretel Elisabeth
Gretel Eleonora
Gretel Ingrid
Gretel Imogen
Gretel Iphigenia

I've always thought it was totally adorable. Little rosy cheeks and blonde ringlets. I can't really see it on an adult, though. But I love Gretchen and Greta and think they age much better.
Gretel Primrose is awwwesome. Totally fairytaley. Yeah, I can't get past the Hansel and Gretel thing, but I like it. Surely I can't come up with anything better than that-- I'm not feeling particularly creative with combos at the moment.
Gretel Ada
Gretel Amelia
Gretel Madelief
Gretel Meredith
Gretel Ophelia
Gretel Penelope
Gretel Violet
Some of those are decent, I think.

Yeah, the whole adult thing troubles me a bit too. I could for sure see a quirky, counter-culture artsy adult carrying it, but what if a Gretel wants to be just a normal, unremarkable person - an accountant or something? She might think poorly of such a whimsical name. Welll, I guess she could just suck it up and change it when she turns 18. Gretel Penelope has wonderful rhythm. And Gretel Meredith has a terrific whittled quality to it. Thanks!
