My sister has four daughters, and she wanted to name one of them Lucy, but didn't, because neither one of her husbands liked it. Now she says she's jealous that my son and his partner are having a little Lucy, lol.

Hi !!!I've always found Lucy a sweet, delicate, ageless and feminine name.
The most important think of it is its sweetness and elegance. I always think of it making ties with powder pink and white colours. Sometimes I also associate it with sapphire blue because of a snowy night. I think of the snow as Saint Lucy is the 13th December.Lucy Yekaterina

It was my favourite girls' name when I was a kid, I liked the Lucie spelling a lot too. Unfortunately I've had some bad associations with it since, and don't like it anymore.Lucy Alexandra.

sort of charming. Not my favorit full name, I prefer Lucia.

I love Lucy! It's a fave of mine, but was already used in the family (as a mn, but still!) and is super popular here in Australia. Some of my fave combos are Lucy Pearl, Lucy Grace, Lucy Hannah, Lucy Charlotte, Lucy Matilda, Lucy Martha, Lucy Jemima, Lucy Violet, Lucy Talitha, Lucy Alice, Lucy Ada, Lucy Evelyn, Lucy Esther, Lucy Miriam and Lucy Arielle.

This particular opinion is not widely held, so I don’t think you need to worry about other people making the same association. Still, I have to voice it.I can’t stand it. It’s probably my most hated name. It sounds like a combination of “juicy” and “loose” which makes me think of the lady parts of a disreputable woman. It affects me the way the word “moist” affects some others.I’m really sorry.

I have mixed feelings about it. It's pretty (I also like the variant Lucia), but at the same time it's a bit bland to me. I'm not sure if I associate it with a younger or older woman, either. I don't know if I'd personally use it, but it's a good, solid name.

Love it. I think it’s sweet and vintage-sounding. Real charming. I’ll add some mn ideas later. (-:

I love it. It will be what my granddaughter is called, though it won't be her full name. It's so sassy but charming. Lively, spritely, but suitable for a grown woman as well as a little girl.Lucy Esmeralda
