I'd choose something equally soft-sounding for a sibling (maybe repeating the hush-hush "sh" sound):

I heartily dislike Nicole. I don't like spondees, and the second syllable is so COLd, like a sigh. It is impossible to say 'Nicole' without your mouth turning down at the corners.
Michelle is OK, still very Beatles but why not? I prefer the neater, tidier Michele, probably because I've got two Michele friends, one English and one French. Michele Elizabeth and Michele Madeleine, to be exact.
So, Michele and her siblings. They'll be English.

I've always liked Michelle, so I'd pick that; I never did like the sound of Nicole. Even for a middle name.

I would like Michelle better, but several Michelles I've interacted with have turned out to be untrustworthy, and Nicoles never have. So I feel a lot better about Nicole. I like it better as Nicola, but Nicole is nice enough.

Oh, this is hard. In France they are both extremely dated to the 30s and 40s and in English speaking countries to the 70s and 80s. I think they are both tired and boring.
I also dislike the English pronunciation of Nicole (in France the O doesn't get dragged out so much, it is short).
I'd choose Michelle. I hate the nicknames for it (Shelly, Mitchie) so I'd use the full version always. It sounds softer and prettier than Nicole.
As a middle name also Michelle.
Siblings? Christopher and Stephanie? Something really 70s/80s.

If I had to choose one for Michelle:

Michelle Leonor
And actually, I think I would leave the choice to my partner. Nicole at least has a family significance for me. But it sounds so odd to me that I couldn't pick it now. But if my partner preferred it, I would go for it.
By the way, I used to kind of like Nicole. No idea what happened but at the moment I can't stand the sound at all.

Ugh. Really. Well, if I had to I'd go with Michelle, because most of the time it doesn't have a nickname, in my experience anyway, and I think that most Nicoles go by Nicky or Nikki or some form of that, and I don't like it. Michelle Vivien, why not? Her brother and sister would be Victoria and William, because I don't care about sibsets "going together".

When I ask about sibsets, I don't necessarily expect the names to go together. Go wild. ;P

I find Nicole more insteresting as i think it's classy and delicate.
I think i'd go with Amber or Rachel for a middle name. I've once met a Michele Karla as well.
