[Opinions] Luna
What do you honestly think of Luna? I'm really liking it lately - along with the combo Luna Bella. However, I'm so unsure of it because of the possible teasing nn - Loon, Loony, Lunatic. Or am I overracting with that and Luna is a wonderful name?Anymore Luna combo sugesstions would be great, thanks.~Lisa~

I worry about the "loony" thing, too. I think it would be a fabulous name for a cat or dog, though, and is in the running for my next fur baby, I think. :b That being said, if you love the name, I definitely don't think it's too weird to use. It's pretty and feminine, simple and sweet but sassy as well. :)

I like the sound of Luna and the meaning, but I confess the first thing I think of is lunatic. ;-)

I like Luna, but only as a middle name. Some combos I like are Isadora Luna, Stella Luna.I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

I like Luna. I'd use it if I had the guts. "Crazy" is not my first thought at all. My first thought is the moon, and then Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. While they do call her "looney" a lot in the books, I think most Harry Potter fans like her because she's so quirky and unlike the other characters. Luna Bella is all right, but I think I prefer Luna Belle.

Luna's adorable, I love it but I don't think I'd ever use it because of the whole "loony" thing. Bella's nice but I think Belle's nicer as a mn with Luna. Here's a few more mns:Evelyn
Scarlett
Grace
Claire
Rose
Jasmine
Christine
Katherine
Sapphira
Sophia
MarieIf you're not so sure about Luna, how about Lena? They're very similar except the E replacing the U, I like both Lena and Luna.

A Luna is bound to be teased, but then about every kid is anyway and I don't think it could be much worse. I love it, personally. It's so smooth and mystical sounding. Luna Bella's nms, but I do like Luna Belle. Sorry, at the moment I've got no suggestions.

Sorry, but no. It makes me think of Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter books. "Looney Luna"

I really like Luna. However every time I mention it to my husband he says "Lunatic!" so you could be right to worry about teasing possibilties.I believe Victoria Beckham wants to call her first daughter this, which puts me off it a bit too.

Luna is very pretty, although I do think of "lunatic" when I first hear it.

Luna is kind of pretty, teasing possibilities aside, but the only Luna I know is a dog, so it seems automatically more like a pet name to me. As for Luna Bellla, it seems kind of like Bella Luna to me, which I think means something along the lines of bautiful moon, though I'm not sure at all. Someone with more knowledge of Italian or Spanish is welcome to correct me.
Possible combos-
Luna Amaryllis
Luna Mariana
Luna Renee Dreams are necessary to life.

Luna Bella does indeed mean beautiful moon in Spanish (and in that order because in Spanish, adjectives follow nouns). I love the name Luna, and I think Luna Bella is a gorgeous combo!

I love it on either sex, though I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to actually use it on a boy. I think Luna is beautiful beyond words, and I don't think it'd be teased too horribly.I don't really like Luna Bella, but I'm also not very awake. Make me come up with names when I can hold my eyes open. ;)Array
