Help with a middle name, please!
We're wanting to start our family, I'm not pregnant yet. Anyway, we have a name picked out for a bit and a first name for a girl. Cora. Cora wouldn't be short for anything. I do like Corinne (Cor IN) but dh likes Cora as the given name..Any idea for a middle name for Cora Lyman? DH likes Ann (my mom's middle name) which is nice but the name nerd in me is afraid of a place holder middle name. I like Jane (Jane after my maternal grandma AND his maternal grandma). We also like Jaclyn/Jacqueline so he can call her Jack. But I'm not living any of them. Please give me some more ideas.

Cora RosemaryCorinne is so pretty, and Cora isn't half bad either! Cora Jane works, but Jane sounds too much like a first name to me. Jacqueline is an ok middle name, but I don't love it. I think you should go for a name you and and DH loves, and don't settle for anythig less. I hope you'll find something usefull among these messages!

I love Cora Jane. Cora Ann just sounds to simple together. Jane sounds more classic, Ann seems like a filler. Like Marie or Rose, even though Jane is a bit common. Cora Jaqcueline is okay, but the names are a bit different together. Cora sounds more sweet, while Jacqueline seems more bold. I like it, it just seems a little mismatched.Other ideasCora Helen
Cora Gisele

Cora is beautiful. It was the name of my great-grandmother and I've been playing around with Cora combos lately myself. For you, I prefer Cora Jane to Cora Ann simply because it has a better flow and is a bit easier to say. Cora Jacqueline is nice and is a bit more unexpected than Ann or Jane, that's for sure. I like Corinne as well. DH actually prefers that to Cora. He really likes Corinne.Other suggestions:Cora Susanna
Cora Elizabeth (Cora Beth)
Cora Juliet
Cora Frances, Cora Francesca
Cora Louisa, Cora Louise
Cora Madeleine
Cora Penelope
Cora Vivienne
Cora Felicity
Cora Mae
Cora Maeve

You're so lucky that it's a family name! I love Vivienne and Louise. Thanks!

If you're bothered by the idea of a placeholder middle name, Jane isn't for you; it's as much of a placeholder as Ann, even if both Ann and Jane are family names.I like Jacqueline. She could go by CJ.

Good point! I sometimes go by AJ so that's a cool coincident.

Cora is pretty. I do like Cora Jane better than Cora Ann. In fact, seeing it typed together makes me like it a lot. I'm not a fan of Jaclyn/Jacqueline. I'd go with Cora Jane.
