What would you choose if you were a Hippie?
The year is 1971 and you're fully immersed in the hippie movement. You're all about free love, frequent war protests and maybe you even dabble in chaining yourself to trees.
You have three flower-children. How do you name them?
I'll probably choose these:
Amity
Willow
Crystal
Forest
River
Barley

Is Sunserae related to Sonseray? Or something else?
I don’t know, tbh. I saw it in a birth announcement sometime in the 90s and it’s stuck.
Girls: Sunshine, Clarity, Amethyst
Boys: Fox, Spirit, Everest
Boys: Fox, Spirit, Everest
Today they would be:
Sunny
Gaia
Juniper
Maverick
Journey (I'm vibing with Journey on a male today, and am now wondering why this name is listed as feminine and not unisex...)
Sage (also preferring this on a male today, at least it is listed as unisex)
Any combination of the above (maybe not Juniper & Journey together, or Sunny & Sage).

Well, in 1971 I was in college. My mind was a jumble and I was straining to make it from one day to the next. Also, I was desperately poor, to the point of not having enough to eat. And yes, the hippie movement was in the very air I breathed back then. I'm so glad I had sense enough not to have kids.
But let's assume I did have them. If I gave them hippie names they would be Star, Heather and Juniper.(I couldn't imagine having a boy.)
If I gave them names I actually liked back then they would be Stacy, Jennifer and Anne.

River. I always loved it. Mostly for a girl.
I'd argue both xD I'm sure many hippie witches have existed. What does Sowilo mean? Its not in the database
It's the name of the sun rune in the Elder Futhark runic alphabet. I love the look of it but it's a bit out there so I feel like it'd fit as a hippie name haha.
Sonnet
Sunrise
Sparrow
Regardless of gender.

Possibly because Dandy is an old masculine nickname, but in more modern times (albeit outdated) a word to describe a fashionable man :)
Here I was thinking it was a nn for Daniel but no, according to the user-submitted name (Dandy) it's for Andrew... Maybe it's a another rhyming nickname like Dick and Bill. You know, Andy-Dandy?

Oh, yes :), Dandy, plus -lion part sounds masculine, imo, (even though I love Endelion for a girl).
I'd never guess that Dandy is a nn for Andrew (Andy-Dandy)! I think you are right.

Cricket, Pine & Elm
Huckleberry (Huck), Sage, Pike
I genuinely love those names *hides*

Sage is handsome. I have a soft spot for the book and character Huckleberry Finn, so I understand the appeal.
Cricket is an unusual choice. I do know someone who was called Cricket as a nickname during early childhood because she tended to hop and skip all over the place.
