Lloyd Arthur: I find these names kind of handsome, actually. They wouldn’t be my first pick, though. George Kenneth: I think George is a nice, classic name. However, I only would probably use Kenneth irl.Irene Florence: I just love this combination! Dorothy Myrtle: I think it’s just pretty and flows together smoothly. Thelma Bernice: I think this is very 1920s-esque. Also, it doesn’t sound bad together!

Pearl Florence
Pearl is a cute, crisp sounding name (also my cats name). I like Florence pairs well with it because they’re both sort of word names. Lawrence Vernon
Lawrence is good because it’s timeless, and Vernon I’ve actually never heard of. I think it would make a nice middle name.

Clarence Eugene- It seems like it should be in 1922.
Stanley Bernard- See above.Mildred Irene- I actually seen that combo from someone born in the 20's.
Edit Pearl- Edith was my grandmother's name, she was born in 1921. Pearl was her mother's name.
Thelma Louise- I know a lady by that name even though she was born in 1935.

I'll do Vernon Eugene, or Eugene Vernon.
Irene Florence, or Florence Irene

Kenneth Stanley
(I actually like Kenneth but despise Kenny, so no nicknames, please) and Stanley after my grandpa. Don’t really like the name, but don’t mind for a middle spotLouise Pearl
I love Louise, and Louisa even more. She might just sneak by with the nickname of Louisa, since it wasn’t on the list. I don’t care much for Pearl, but as a middle, is sweet and goes well with Louise.

This is kinda hard. So many good names for the girls.Viola Irene
Edna Louise
Maxine Viola PearlGeorge Arthur Lloyd for a boy. Yeah, I’m settled with that one. I like Maxine Viola Pearl for a girl, and Viola Irene best.

Kenneth Walter
- Kenneth is my favorite from the list; the only other ones I like are Robert, Walter and Chester. I almost went with Kenneth Robert, but Walter feels more interesting.Phyllis Irene
- I'm not a fan of any of these names, but Phyllis has the nicest sound, and Irene seems to flow better with it than Pearl or Viola do.

Chester Ernest - Both handsome names that just work well together. The combo will age well too.Pearl Florence - Sounds like someone’s grandma, but I love it! Pearl is so sweet, a precious pearl and Florence has a lovely meaning. Just a sweet combo.

Robert Eugene - Robert is not my usual style, but it's a family name (and also my twin brother's middle name). I like it a lot, and I love the nickname Bobby. Eugene is just an old favorite of mine.Myrtle Pauline - I adore Myrtle, I know it gets a lot of hate on here, but I think it's a great name and it deserves a comeback. Pauline just sounds good with Myrtle, and is also a name that deserves more love.

Lawrence Bernard & Florence DorothyI'd pick Laurence over Lawrence any day, but Lawrence is decent, as long as he doesn't go by Larry. I like the association with TE Lawrence. Bernard is not my usual choice - it evokes a very specific image. Like... If Winnie the Pooh was a medieval friar with a penchant for mead instead of honey. It makes me think of St. Bernards (the dogs), which I think are quite a positive association.I genuinely enjoy Florence very much. It strikes the perfect balance between natural and urban. I can never decide between Florence and Flora. I do hope she'd go by her fool name - neither Flo nor Florrie appeal. Dorothy is nice, if a bit frumpy. I might prefer the more extravagant and Latinate Dorothea with Florence, while saving Dorothy for Roman Flora.

Arthur KennethArthur comes with the nn Artie, which I think is adorable. Kenneth just sounded better than the other options, but I'm pretty lukewarm on it.Florence PearlI've always loved Florence. It makes me think of Florence Nightingale, and I really admire nurses. Pearl just sounds so sweet and cute. I wouldn't use it as a first name, but it's cute as a middle name.

1: George Kenneth: Ok names, but solid combo, IMO.
2: Robert Stanley: Again, good flow. Can't go wrong with a classic like Robert. Plus I adore Stanley. I probably wouldn't use it on an actual child (Stanley steamer always comes to mind, first thing I think of, actually) but it would definitely be a top name contender if I were to ever adopt a male cat. Or, any male animal.
3: Eugene Lawrence: Like both names and they sound good together1: Ida Maxine: Good, solid combination. Completely adore Ida. Really hope it makes a come back soon. It would fit in with a lot of trendy/popular names right now.
2: Edna Florence: Just like the sound of it. Can picture a tough, strong woman named this.
3: Viola Pearl: lovely together.
Sorry, but the girls names were pretty bad back then. I feel like they kinda got the short end of the stick, if you will, in comparison to the guys side of the most popular names. Lol.

Oh, boy.I'm going with Irene Gertrude for a girl's name; I like both names, though I have a hard time imagining I would use Gertrude. I have often envisioned recognizing impactful historical figures, so I could see using Ida as a way to honor Ida B. Wells, or something like that. But for the moment, I would go with Irene Gertrude. I don't love the flow of the name, but I kind of like it, at least.Boys: Kenneth Paul. I always have liked the name Kenneth and I have always liked the name Paul.

Robert Paul for a boy, those are names I might have used in real life.
Shirley Irene. Irene is gentle and beautiful, Shirley is a warm, cheerful, practical sort of name.
