I don't think of Johanneke as a nn, but as just another form of the same name and it's 1 of my faves... Johanna's nice too.Keepers from the list:
Margaret Johanna
Rose Johanna ... meh... so-so
Frances Johanna
Beatrix Johanna
Charlotte Johanna
Dorothy Johanna
Esther Johanna
Nicolet JohannaJohanna Renee
Johanna Michele
Johanna Magdalene
Johanna Louise
Johanna Gertrude ... I'd prefer Trudene... My mum goes by Trudy, but is REALLY glad she didn't have either Waltrude or Gertrude inflicted on her... Think of the child. (Mum's aunt told her mum she needed a real name w/ Trudy as just a nn, so she chose Trudene)
Johanna Gabrielle
Johanna Victoria
Johanna Genevieve
Johanna Florence
Johanna Ruth
Johanna Rosaline

I love the name Johanna. It's very common in Sweden and for me it sounds so kind. It sounds like an old, kind grandmother, like a strong worker from long ago.
Emma Johanna and Elsa Johanna are sweet. Very Swedish.

ditto! I think that's why I love the name so much. It's so pretty and vintage, non fussy and romantic - I love it!I pron. it Jo-anna, but I also like the German pronunciation, however where I live Jo-anna is more natural.

I thought it was JoannaHowever if it is actually Johanna, I am much relieved. I was so disappointed when I heard her name. I find Joanna so dull.

I like:Rosamund Johanna / Johanna Rosamund – Either one works, imo
Margaret Johanna
Roslindis Johanna
Edith Johanna
Frances Johanna
Gwendolen Johanna
Lilian Johanna
Beatrix Johanna
Ellen Johanna
Elma Johanna – I usually don’t like double a endings when it comes to first and middle names but, for some reason, I like this one. I think its because I’ve yet to hear about Elma. I kinda like it.
Godelieve Johanna – Bold.
Madelief JohannaJohanna Magdalene
Johanna Adelaide – Adelaide Johanna, too
Johanna Ingrid
Johanna RosalineAll in all, I think I like Johanna as a middle name. Its somewhat more unexpected but I think that’s because Johanna seems to be used more as a first name instead of a second.

Rose Johanna
Beatrix Johanna
Charlotte Johanna
Ellen Johanna
Hedwig Johanna
Laura Johanna
Louise Johanna
Vera Johanna
Johanna Rebekka
Johanna Marjolaine
Johanna Margriet
Johanna Magdalene
Johanna Madelief - and I concur about Madelief :)
Johanna Berenice
Johanna Abigail - I have a friend whose daughters are named Abigail and JohannaMy Johanna combos:
Easter Johanna
Sara Johanna
Sunday Johanna
Johanna Amy
Johanna Emily

I love all of your Johanna combos, especially Sunday Johanna and Johanna Amy! Your friend has great name taste.Question. When you pronounce Johanna the English way, is it Jo-anna or Jo-hannah?

Jo + HannaI had a friend Johanna as a kid who pronounced her name that way, so that's the way I've always said it. I'm not sure how my friend pronounced her daughter's name, I've never heard her speak it.Jo-anna would just be Joanna to me.
