I love Dinah and think it should be used more often. It's charming.

i'd love it if it weren't so similar to my birth name, Edina (which in the US is always slightly mispronounced as Dinah with an E). i'd recommend Dinah to anyone else, though. simple yet strong name.i usually don't care about pairing meanings, but this is a great meaning imo, so to go with it, i'd like:
Dinah Eudora (judged as a good gift)
Dinah Sonam (judged as virtuous)
Dinah Bridget (judged and therefore exalted)
Dinah Athenais (judged with sharp praise)
Dinah Phoebe (judged as bright, pure)
Dinah Radmila (judged happily and dearly)or, just based on what sounds and looks good:Dinah Hadassah
Dinah Lorraine
Dinah Susannah
Dinah Judith
Dinah Odette

I like Dinah. It has this 19th century feel that just seems simple and character-filled to me. It also has a distinct sound that won’t get confused with too many common names. Some combos that I like:Dinah Emmeline
Dinah Josephine
Dinah Charlotte
Dinah Marinette
Dinah Georgetta
Dinah Praline
