Re: What are some names you hate that everyone seems to love and some names you love that everyone seems to hate?
Names I love that everyone seems to hate:-Most from late 20th century 'dated' names have a positive image to me. I love most names from this era (especially girl names), and my favorites for each gender are Austin, Caitlin, and Shannon. -I love Patricia very much. Because I thought it sound is so pretty. And strikes me as friendly, retro, and not boring like other late 20th century names. (But the reason I don't find these names boring may be because I was born in 2009 and don't feel like late 20th century names are 'overused'.)-In the case of Korean names, they are Miyeon, Jiyeon, Jihyeon, Eunkyung, Mikyung, Minjeong, Eunjeong, Eunju, Jieun, Jihye, Saerom, and Minji. These names were popular in the late 20th century and many people think they are ‘outdated’.Names I hate that everyone seems to love:-As for my personal feelings, I would say Alice, Clara, and Julia. It's one thing to it's 'classic' and another thing to say that I 'like' the name. However, this is because I tend to like 'dated' names, so I don't consider 'classic' very important, so you may come to that conclusion, so it's up to each person to judge my conclusion. -In the case of the Korean name, I will say Do-Yun. It's a very popular and trandy name right now and a lot of people like it, but I just don't see the appeal of it. Bonus- Names I love and everyone seems to love:-Actually, I also have ‘classic’ names that I love. I love Abigail, Andrew, Anthony, Claire, Daniel, David, Elizabeth, Grace, Isabelle, Luke, Madeline, Naomi, Natalie, Nathan, and Rose.-The same goes for names that are currently popular or trendy. I love Aspen, Avery, Autumn, Eden, Indigo, Jade, Noah, Owen, Sage, and Wren.
