Three years have gone by and still the Rosenfield family is growing in leaps and bounds.
Malachi and Elijah have found their way back onto the same NHL team. A year and a half ago, Malachi was traded to Chicago and the family moved there. After free agency last season, Elijah ended up with Chicago as well. Now, he and Malachi live two blocks from each other. Malachi's sons are doing well--Marcus is in first grade and very outgoing, Michael is more subdued, but likes hanging out with Malachi's teammates; and the "baby" Max just enjoys getting into mischief. Elijah's family hasn't grown all that much yet. He and Kaori are enjoying Haley very much--and Haley is a bit of a spoiled brat.
Asher and Mira's lives are busy as well. Asher met Ceres Martin in one of his music therapy classes. The two hit it off and were married over the summer. They are both finished with college and intend to open their own music therapy clinic and music store within the next year or two. For now, they are working for another small business and saving up their money. After Germany, Mira and Andy moved to Guam, then to Mexico. At current, Andy is stationed on US soil, in Arizona. Mira was glad to be back in the United States for the birth of their first daughter, Elisa Meredith, who is now a year old.
While filming her latest movie, Rachel fell in love with one of the cameramen, Joshua Brooks. Rachel and Joshua dated for only two months, then announced that they were getting married. And, a year and a half later, their daughter, Samantha Katherine Brooks, was born. Rachel intends to keep acting, but once Sammie is a few months old.
Joel has moved on from the band he and Asher started so long ago. He is giving music lessons full time. He recently (just last week) married the woman who lives in the apartment next door, Jessica DiAngelo. Jessica works as a veterinarian's assistant at the animal hospital in the city.
Ezra and Mosi remain single, though Ezra has his eyes on a girl he met at church recently. Ezra has written another book and works for a publishing company as chief editor. Mosi broke into the pro ranks of bullriders over the summer and intends to keep riding for many years to come.
