Some comments:Nikolas Verneri - Nice to see a Nikolas
Kristoffer Edwin Taavetti, brother Oliver - Now that's a mouthful! Is Taavetti making a comeback (at least as middle name)...?
Valtti Juhani - Valtti is interesting! I don't know if I like it or not. Juhani is a bit blah.Maria Aleksandra - This is one of my favourite combos! And Aleksandra spelled with ks instead of x!! I love these people!!!
Kaisla Lilian, sister Alisa (Laura and Lauri) - Don't care for the kids' names, but I just have to note that I know a couple called Laura and Lauri too, lol.
Silja Sofia - Silja is lovely.
Ruska Adelia Ilmatar, siblings Lumi and Touko - Uh oh. First, I like Ruska - for a boy. I checked the Name service and it appears to be mostly used on girls though. Hmm. I like Adelia and Ilmatar.
Ronja Saaga Eleonoora - I was just thinking about Eleonoora the other day, and whether it's usable or not. It's so long and a bit clunky. It does work as a middle name at least.
Leonie Ingrid Alexandra, sister Emelie Sophia Christina (Hanna and Valtteri) - Surname... Möttönen?
Siri Ingrid Olivia - I like this combo! Siri Ingrid is so full of "hard" sounds, and Olivia softens it beautifully.I guess you live in an area with a lot of Swedish-speaking population? :)

I like Nikolas too! I was also glad to see a Nikolai: it's probably my favorite Russian name. I haven't seen many Taavettis, but I get your point: Juhani, Tapani, Olavi and other i-ending names are very common as MNs, so maybe Taavetti will be popular too in near future.I agree about Aleksandra: "ks" is so much better than "x" in the Finnish context. Same with Eleonoora (or Eleonora): as a Finnish person's FN it somehow feels too pompous, but as a MN it's OK.For me, Ruska is not only feminine but a dog's name! It's my grandparents' cocker spaniel's name, which has an influence on my opinion. If I remember correctly, Leonie and Emelie's mother is Swedish-speaking but they shared their father's Finnish surname (might have been a "-nen" name, but not Möttönen!).I do live in a bilingual city (Turku), but these announcements are from "Helsingin Sanomat". Well, there are Swedish-speaking people in Helsinki as well, maybe that explains the amount of Swedish names in these announcements?

Ah, Helsingin Sanomat, that does explain it!We thought about naming our male dog Ruska but ended up not doing that because he's white and it seemed wrong. :)
