[Opinions] Sebastian
Opinions on Sebastian? I've been liking it more and more lately. It was my great grandfathers name also. I hear people say that it is too long, but I disagree. I personally like long names, and it is no longer then say Jonathan or Nathaniel, and those are very common. Plus, I think it goes well with Andreas. Middle name suggestions? I like Sebastian James, even though the flow isnt 100%, it carries family significance.

I don't really like it. I know it is only as long as some names like Jonathan and Nathaniel, but these both have nicknames e.g. Jonny, Nathan, Niel. Sebastian hasn't got any nicknames which I like, the only one is Seb which I think sounds too short and incomplete (ironic I know). It does go well with Andreas, and Sebastian James does sound good, especially since it has a family background.

I love Sebastian and it is a name I would use. I don't think it is too long, but then the length of a name never really mattered to me. I think it goes really well with Andreas. I agree with your thoughts that the flow with James is slightly off, but I do like both names together. Sebastian Gabriel is my favorite combo.

I like Sebastian a lot, it sounds very proper, traditional without being stuffy.

Sebastian is the same length as Elizabeth and Jonathan, as you pointed out. It's fine, plus you have NNs Seb to play with. It is a bit fanciful to me (but I prefer shorter names for boys) but it is a widely recognised name. Sebastian Paul

I love it - especially shortening it to Bastian for everyday use. Sebastian James is the first combo that springs to mind for me as well. There's something delightfully retro and yet classic about the combo. I think shorter, classic names make a great middle name for Sebastian because it "balances" the name, so to speak.Sebastian John
Sebastian Mark
Sebastian Luke
