[Opinions] Work Sightings - Sibsets
Hi friends,I've been writing down every time I encounter some bizarre or interesting names at work, so please tell me what you think! I've been collecting stand alone names and combos, as well - here are the sibsets for now. Holden & Valiant - Twin boysKrishna (f), Kyle & Katie Brave (m), Dove (f) and Monroe (f) Brenton, Larkara (f), Peter, Trey (m), Earleigh (f) Layken (m), Zahalee (f), Blaiyze (f) Maisie, Jacob, Lucian, Brock, Luna-Freya, Ormania Cruz (m), Nova, Layla, Allara, Mason, Carter Loki, Baye (m), Joel, Nate, Trae (m), Zara, Charlotte, Sierra, Emily, Aalyiah Khaos & Blaze - twin boys, Gypsy (f), Karmah (f), Petah (f), Mahlee (f) Irie (f), Lace (f), Harper (m)Ariel (f), Emelia, Elon, Jasper Ryker (m), Marley (m), Morrison (m), Clover (f) Cecelia, Mason, Jayden Jimmy, Mara, Mania (m), Mikaere (m)River-Chase (m), Phoenix (m) Arthur, Charles, Cecelia, Lauchlin (m) Kaizer (m), Brax (m), Jaxten (m), Harlix (m), Khylan (m), Jahvarni (f) Rapcidee (f), Szialah (f) Daniel-Craig, Ashanti, Rodney, Cara-Louise Isabelle, Oliver, Felix, Poppy Rexton, Abigale, Tianna Rooklyn (f), Aleigha, Armani (f)
My thoughts : Holden & Valiant - Twin boys. Just imaging the teasing - oh my goshKrishna (f), Kyle & Katie - I don't think naming a little girl after a Hindu God is a good idea. I think this name is exclusively used for men, as well. Brave (m), Dove (f) and Monroe (f) - Brave has a lot to live up to! I like this sibset together, even though I'd prefer them all as character names. Brenton, Larkara (f), Peter, Trey (m), Earleigh (f) - I don't really like this bunch together. I Googled Earleigh and it appears to be a surname? I thought it was a misspelling of Early. Early is a far better name that Earleigh, in my opinion Layken (m), Zahalee (f), Blaiyze (f) - I don't like any of these, NMS at all Maisie, Jacob, Lucian, Brock, Luna-Freya, Ormania - interesting. It's as though they became more creative the more kids they had. Definitely couldn't decide between Luna or Freya. Ormania would make a good character name. My favourite is Maisie. Cruz (m), Nova, Layla, Allara, Mason, Carter - modern sibset, however I think it works. My favourite is Nova. Loki, Baye (m), Joel, Nate, Trae (m), Zara, Charlotte, Sierra, Emily, Aaliyah - I like their girls name choices. Aaliyah stands out and I don't like it in this sibset. Joel is okay, Nate I'd prefer Nathan, Loki reads like a dog or character name to me and Trae / Baye I don't care for. Khaos & Blaze - twin boys, Gypsy (f), Karmah (f), Petah (f), Mahlee (f) - Most of these read as fabulous character names to me, especially Blaze, Chaos, Gypsy and Karma. I think Petah is a creative spelling of Peta, which is the Aussie female form of Peter. Mahlee I don't care for Irie (f), Lace (f), Harper (m) - Irie is my favourite, it's pretty. Not sure how I feel about Harper on a boy, although I don't much care for it on a girl, either. I don't like "Harp" "Harps" or "Harpie", I just think about harping on rather than beautiful harps playing. Lace I don't care for. Ariel (f), Emelia, Elon, Jasper - I like them all and I like them together, although I would probably prefer Arielle and Amelia Ryker (m), Marley (m), Morrison (m), Clover (f) - Ryker I really dislike and Marley is one of those modern names that I don't understand the hype around. A missed opportunity to use Morris, far better than Morrison in my opinion, and has great nickname potential "Mo", "Morrie". Clover nn "Clo" or "Clove" really is sweet, and it is a guilty pleasure for me, however it would be better as a character name. Cecelia, Mason, Jayden - Jayden and Mason are NMS, however I do love seeing Cecelia. It's lovely. Jimmy, Mara, Mania (m), Mikaere (m) - Mikaere is the Maori form of Michael. Mania is the Goddess of the dead and we all know that mania = crazy so that makes Mania a name far to burdensome for a little boy. Great character name idea, though. River-Chase (m), Phoenix (m) - I don't like double-barreled names for the most part, however I think these two work as a set. I'd prefer them however as character names Arthur, Charles, Cecelia, Lauchlin (m) - I think Lauchlin is the Scottish form of Lachlan? I like Lachlan, it's popular here, however in this sibset I'd remove it and go for something to fit the classic vibes : Laurence. Laurie, Art, Charlie and Cece. How cute. Kaizer (m), Brax (m), Jaxten (m), Harlix (m), Khylan (m), Jahvarni (f) - I don't like any of these, not to my taste at allRapcidee (f), Szialah (f) - Rhapsody was apparently too much, haha. I don't like "Rap" or "Rapie" as potential nicknames, either. I don't think it translates well as a name. But how to pronounce Szialah - Zee-ah-lah? Sigh-la? Who knows. Daniel-Craig, Ashanti, Rodney, Cara-Louise - I wondered if they have ever Googled who Daniel Craig is, haha. Unusual mix - super modern, super dated and two random names smooshed together Isabelle, Oliver, Felix, Poppy - popular names, however I think they're cute and work well together as a sibset. Rexton, Abigale, Tianna - I'd prefer the girl's names conventionally spelt. I don't care for Rexton and I'm not huge on Abigale. My favourite is Tiana. I'd rather Abby / Abbie, Rex and Tiana together as a sibset. Rooklyn (f), Aleigha, Armani (f) - Apparently Brooklyn is too mainstream and they wanted to stand out with Rooklyn and I don't like it. "Rook" as a nickname isn't cute - far better as a character name, in my opinion. Aleigha I prefer as Aaliyah. Armani to me is a brand name and I don't like "Arm" or "Mani" as nicknames.

Thanks for everyone's responses! I have enjoyed reading them all.I did not know that there was an original spelling of Cecilia - I always thought that it was spelt Cecelia. I have only encountered it in real life as Cecelia. I think I prefer Cecilia now

I like Jacob, Lucian, Freya (from Luna-Freya), Layla, Ariel, Emelia, Jasper, Isabelle, Felix and Poppy.
Jacob, Maisie, Lucian, Brock, Luna-Freya and Ormania is a crazy set! Jacob and Maisie match well, but the rest are all so different from eachother

I have to agree about Isabelle, Oliver, Felix, and Poppy being the nicest sib-set, though I only like Isabelle and Oliver. There are some names that I can weed out, that I like just on their own: I like Cecelia (I prefer Cecilia), Allara, Charlotte, Isabelle (I prefer Isabella), Louise, Emily, Aleigha (I prefer this spelled as Aleah), and Layla for girls. I'd be open to Larkara, if it were Lakara instead, because I think Lakara sounds beautiful. For boys, I like Craig, Peter, Daniel, Kyle, Charles, Oliver, and Arthur.

Rapcidee is an abomination, and Szialah defies logic (from an English-speaking standpoint, at least). Ouch.Cecelia is an unfortunate perversion of the beautiful Cecilia. Sigh.I guess the best sibset is Isabelle, Oliver, Felix, and Poppy, though it makes me yawn.I'm bewildered by Ormania (as a standalone name and especially as a component of that sibset, which is otherwise harmonious/predictable).
