It's been 10 years since we last met the clan. Johnny and Fleur sold their house and moved into a loft in Queens, dividing the profits equally between their grandchildren.

Lucien met his wife on a trip to India. She's from a Kashmiri muslim family, and her parents took a lot of convincing to let her leave to a foreign land. after living with her in India, he returned to the US, and his wife became a US citizen. They also got married in an interfaith civil union. Lucien became a taxi driver, of the few yellow taxies still left in the big apple, while his wife had became an optometrist. They ended up having twins, a son and a daughter.

Marley opened up a fusion food truck, combining the alcohol traditions of his Canadian side with the latino, filippino and italian influences from the other parts of his family. One time, at the ripe old age of 21, when he was pulled over for speeding, he hit on the young police officer. She took him up on his offer, and 7 years later, they're still together, in a condo she inherited from her rich family, and with a daughter.

Brunilda, also at the young age of 21, had a brief hookup with a young man after a rave in Texas. When she found out she was pregnant, she reached out to him, but he had already died from a laced tab of LSD someone gave him at a different party. She chose to lift herself out of the mud and move next to her grandparents in Queens, to help care for them and have them care for the child while she's studying accounting. She ended up becoming an independent accountant, working out of her home office while also caring for her son.
