1. I don't really think of it much as a name in general, rather indifferent
2. I think Rowan Elizabeth is the best combo (though I prefer Rohan Elizabeth)
3. I personally prefer Rohan for a girl
4. Don't really care for it on a boy

I like it but on a boy. It's okay on a girl.

1. WDYT of it in general? It sounds very butch to me, but quietly so, because of the tree meaning being slightly hippie (in a good way).
3. WDYT of it for a girl? it strikes me as mannish; hippie in a negative way.
4. WDYT of it for a boy? I like it for a boy. Rowan Marcus (boy).

1. WDYT of it in general?
- It's alright, but definitely not a fave of mine.2. Any MN suggestions?
- Rowan Elizabeth, Rowan Samantha, Rowan Stephanie, Rowan Olivia, Rowan Michaela, Rowan Celeste, Rowan Lily, Rowan Amethyst.3. WDYT of it for a girl?
- Don't like it at all for a girl, it sounds too masculine. There's just nothing feminine about this name at all imo. 4. WDYT of it for a boy?
- Much better for a boy. Still not overly fussed with it though.

1. In general it can be very pretty for a girl, I just prefer it for a boy.
2. Rowan Elizabeth, Rowan Olivia, Rowan Francesca, Rowan Theresa, Rowan Fiona, Rowan Amelia, Rowan Victoria, Rowan Jane
3. For a girl it is sweet and off-beat
4. For a boy it is charming :)

I think it sounds better on a girl, all the way. It sounds mysterious with a feminine touch.I think it is GORGEOUS. I think Rowan Beatrice would sound nice.

Rowan is for a girl. No, it's not. ;) Just kidding. Really, though, I much prefer it on a boy, though it's not intolerable on a girl (which most unisex names are to me). I'd pair it with something very feminine, easily recognized as a "girl" name so there isn't any confusion as to gender when you see the full name. For instance - Rowan Isabel would be much better than Rowan Taylor.

Thanks, yeah I "try" to do that when a name is unisex :).I was thinking Rowan Victoria, so far. Also WDYT of Isolde Carys? That's been sticking for a few days. I don't know how I feel about Carys though.

Hehe, I know a Rowen Victoria! I prefer the Rowan spelling, though
