Couples with opposite-sex versions of the same name
One of my friends from high school got married yesterday. His name is Carlos, while his new wife's name is Carla. The fact that they have opposite-sex versions of the same name got me thinking...
Do you know any married couples who have opposite-sex versions of the same name? (ex. Joseph and Josephine, Nicholas and Nicole, Michael and Michelle, Julio and Julia, Patrick and Patricia, etc.)
If so, what are their names?
Do you think it's awkward to marry someone who has the opposite-sex version of your name? (I've always thought it sounded awkward.)

My great-grandparents were named Joseph and Josephine. I'm not sure if it would be awkward per say - maybe if they'd grown up being referred to with the same nicknames (both being called Jo or Joey) by relatives/friends. It could get a little confusing during holiday dinners when someone calls out to speak to Jo and both he and his wife look over, but other than that you'd probably be fine.
That said, I have met a couple who were named Jesse/Jessie and that's probably a bit more awkward but it didn't seem to bother them.

Not married, however, my brother and I were Jean(me) and John.
I doubt my parents knew they were versions of the same name, both are family names, nor probably would they have cared.
Also Bro and I were 9 years apart,I older.

I know a couple named Christopher and Christine. They go by Chris and Chris. It isn’t awkward, but it can seem a bit cutesy.

Have never met anyone in this situation. Seems like it would be cute to me.
My friend Andrea married an Andrew.
I don't really see how it'd be awkward. Maybe a little funny.
Even a couple where they have the same name isn't really awkward. It might lead to awkward situations but nothing awful? My SIL goes by Kay and is now dating someone who also goes by Kay. They have different full names (Kathleen and Kayleigh) but neither wants to go by something else.
