Emerson
What do you think of this name? And since I know it’s not really the style of people here, I’ll ask: if you had to use it, would you rather use it on a boy or a girl and what middle name would you pair with it?http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/87410

I have a son named Emerson Kai. So I like it on a boy. :)

Mer is a sound I like in names. It's okay. I don't really care which gender.I'd say Emerson Waldo, but I think that's too much. One of my issues with surnames-as-first-names is that I think they sound strange/awkward with middle names (that aren't also surnames).Emerson Marlowe

I don’t like it. It’s just a fashionable surname and I really don’t care for names like that.If I were actually *forced* to use it, I’d cringe and go with Emerson Alan. It has a decent sound to it.

I actually really like this name! It reminds me of George Emerson from "A Room With A View" by E.M. Forster. Before my SO vetoed Frederick and Emerson, I wanted a literary hunk theme for my boy list. Emerson Conrad

Emerson Mark
Emerson Nathaniel
