The war has dragged on and on, draining Lethia's treaury, hurting the moral of their people, and most importantly costing many lives. But King Alexander is determined to end it when Queen Lili tells him she is pregnant. This baby, he vowed, would not be born into the worry and fear the twins were, and Amelia, Matthias, Benjamin, and Petra would have peace in their early memories. So he and his military leaders and advisors devised a new assault, one they hoped was so bold and unorthodox it would take the enemy by surprise. It did. The Alaian regiment where the king's son was staying was captured, and the king of Alaia agreed to peace talks in exchange for his son. The war ended with a treaty, and both kingdoms breathed a huge sigh of relief. Prince Lucien was born exactly one month after the treaty was signed. He looks a great deal like his father, and everyone is hopeful for his peaceful, happy childhood.
