#1 Girl name
What is your absolute favorite girl name? If you can't decide between names, feel free to post them but try to keep it to a minimum. Looking forward to seeing all the various names :D

Edith.
Emily is probably my true all-time favorite name. It's also thoroughly boring but it is forever beautiful to me and I wish it was less popular but I understand why it is.
Edith has been a long long long term favorite though. I'd never actually use Emily as a fn.

Probably Fiona or Sabrina
For many many years Serafina was my favorite girl's name but then our a-hole landlord named Sarah ruined it for us early 2014.
These days I don't have a favorite girl's name. Lately I've been really loving Fiona, Sabrina, Aurora, Josephine, Vivian, and Hazel. I have a hard time choosing but if I'm being honest lately Fiona and Sabrina keep popping into my head and sometimes when I'm alone I'll suddenly say one of them out loud, that probably means they are my favorite but I'm not certain. I also love Aurora with the nn Rory but we'll see if it is a long lastly love. Fiona has consistently been a favorite for a while even if it isn't always my absolute favorite. Hazel has been a favorite of mine for years but I know my husband doesn't like it which slightly lessens my love of it. I've liked Josephine and Vivian for years although I used to prefer the spelling Vivienne. My husband recently told me that he doesn't like Vivian and he hates the spelling Vivienne.
All of middle school Artemis was my favorite name. Then Dione was my favorite for two years, then Sabriel for three years, then Serafina was my favorite girl's name for 8 years.
I've liked or loved Fiona since 6th grade. I think part of why I love Sabrina is how similar it is to Sabriel but I think it is much prettier and much more usable. I also had a childhood friend named Sabina, I used to prefer Sabina but these days I find Sabrina to be much more lyrical.

Genevieve or Guinevere
Nikita.
It's been my absolute fave for 25 years since I was 15 years old and heard "Nikita" by Elton John for the first time and decided it was an amazing name for a girl.
I am completely aware of the fact that it's a Russian boys name, however, in my native of Denmark, it is mostly used for girls, which I think it sounds/looks more like than anything. So, it would be OK to use for a girl here. I guess it's where I developed my overall love for girls names ending on an '-a'.

It's a tie between Allegra, Constanza and Caterina.
Calista
It's been Calista for a long time.

Sabrina
Sometimes it drops down the list, but only to climb back to #1 again. And I'm back to a previous favorite combo of mine: Sabrina Vivian. If a daughter's name were solely up to me, that would be her name. (And if I were fancy, using 3 names: Sabrina Vivian Iris.)

I love all three of those names. We definitely have similar name tastes.

Sabrina Vivian is beautiful and strong sounding. It sounds like a heroine.
Camilla
My favorites are in flux, so if I'd seen this thread an hour ago it might have been one of these:
Priscilla
Leah
Lucy
Rebecca
Stella

I love Camilla! Not for me but it's a name that I think is beautiful and so versatile. My friend has a 1 year old named Camilla "Millie". They call her Millie, Mills and Camilla a fairly equal amount and it's lovely!
Mathea
Niobe since earlier this week. My favorites change pretty often.

Mine do, too, but like I said below, it's Corinna right now.
Alice
It is definitely what I would choose if I had a daughter, along with my partner, who also loves it.

Leah.
Girls names are tough. My favourite changes almost daily. Today it's Isla.
Shiloh
I like Shiloh much better on a girl than a boy despite what the name nerd is 'meant' to think ;)
Corinna!
It's been in and out of my top names, but yeah, it's currently #1 for me. It's such a pretty and elegant name!

Just curious: do you pronounce it kuh-REE-nuh, or kuh-RIN-uh? I use the latter, but everywhere else I see / hear the name, it seems to be the former.
The latter. The first one sounds wrong to me, because if that were correct it'd be spelled Corrina.
Thank you!
Thank you, that's the same logic I've been using!

Helena. Has been since I was 15.
It changes almost daily, but today it's Minerva
Cecily!

If I had an RL list these would be on it:
Jemima, Alys, Helena, Frances, Mary
- family names I like best that haven't been used in my or the most recent generation

My favourite girl names have changed around a bit, but the two that have stayed the same are
Leonora and Evelyn. Both I find timeless and classical, regardless of the popularity these two are at the top of my list. I think Leonora just edges out Evelyn but both are my absolute favourites.

Pandora
Been my favourite for years, I always come back to her.

That was my cat's name!
Makes a great name for a cat too, so perfect haha!
Me too. :)
Ruby was my fave girl name for years and years and I still adore it, but I have a niece with that name so couldn't ever use it. I have always loved the name Lucy too, but it was far too popular for me to want to use it, plus it's already been used (as a mn) for one of my DH's cousins girls and I don't like repeating names! Eden has been another fave of mine since I was a child and thankfully DH loved it too, so that's why our DD is Eden. So I'd have to say that Eden is my fave girl name, it's beautiful.
Julia is my favourite if we have another girl.
Sylvie.
Back and forth between combos.
Sylvie Wren something.
Sylvie Wren Iselin
Sylvie Wren Élodie
Sylvie Wren Emmélise
Sylvie Wren Delphine

Tansy is my favorite girl name. Thora and Betony are currently second and third.
...Nora.
Some explanation:
This is really hard... Rowan has been topping my list lately, but I like it better for a boy. I just feel more strongly about boys names in general. But Nora is one of those names that's been on my list forever, and has been slowly inching toward the top lately. So my all-time favorite girls name is probably Nora... but if you asked what my favorite right now was, I've been loving Romilly and Clio lately, so it might be one of those. I feel like it's also worth noting that Gaia was my #1 for a loooong time, but it's been giving me hesitation for some reason lately. But then again, Nora gives me pause too (popularity, boring/plainness, the fact that it's a nn, etc.)... even as I'm writing this, I'm having doubts that it's actually my favorite. So I guess if I had to name a baby girl right now, I really don't know what I'd do.

If I was really forced to pick.... Isidora. But I feel the need to explain a little further.
I have loved the name Isadora since I first heard it in A Series of Unfortunate Events. I read those books when I was 7, so I have loved at least some variation of this name for 12 years. My taste is names has generally been very fickle. Charlotte was my absolute favorite name up until I was 11 or 12. I remember loving Scarlett, Claire, Sylvie, Matilda, enough to call them my favorite names at some point. In the past ~5 years the names that frequently topped my list have been Sylvia, Miriam, Johanna, Beatrice, Ramona, Paloma, Daphne, Georgina - I've loved a lot of names, in other words. There has never been a time when Isidora ranked absolutely number one on my list. It's even a name that I'd hesitate to use in real life because I have a hard time imagining a real life woman pulling it off, and I'd rather it didn't get shortened to Izzy or Dora. But with all the changes to my list over the years, my love for this name has never wavered. So that feels like the most fitting answer to this question.
If the question is - what is your favorite name right at this minute that if a baby girl magically appeared in your arms you would name her with hesitation - then it's Johanna.

Susannah since 2004.
I have like 3 favourite boys names that I have been attached to since high school, but my girls names are constantly changing.
I think it's Cecilia right now.

Lauren since 2004 & at this rate, I don't see it ever changing.
Rowan or Rowana.
Second would be some kind of moon name like Luna or Artemis.
