1. What names are you thinking of most today?
>
Sirius.
Is it too teasing-induced?
2. Do you think its ok to have themed middle names in a sibset if you like all the names?
>Well, almost all of my boys' names end in -us or -as. It wasn't really intentional, though. I guess that would be okay, depending on the names.
3. Do you think its ok to name a child after a book/movie character if its not REALLY obvious, and you were passionate about the book/movie?
>I guess so. Something like
Gandalf or Eragon might be a bit much, though.
4. Do you think in about 8 years time it'll be ok to call a boy
Shiloh?
>*winces* I won't. I hate that name, boy or girl.
5. How do you find most of the names you put on your list, or have you just come across them over the years?
>I mostly just stumble across them, either on the boards or in real life, or they just pop up in my head.
6. How long have you had a name list?
>Ever since I was seven, actually. I found my first name book when I was 2 and a half, just after I learned to read. XD
7. Do you write fiction/film scripts etc?
>fiction.
8. Whats your least favourite name atm?
>Ummm... There are lots I don't like. I guess Hurley and
Shiloh.
9. Whats the first combo that comes into your head right now? Quick!!!
>
Elenora June. It's one of my new combos.
10. Do you think pets should have pet names (e.g. Fluffy) or people names or do you not really care?
>I give them all people names.
My pets are
Mindy,
Theophilus "
Theo,"
Sophronia "
Sophie," and
Max (which, in my book, is short for
Maximilian). But I don't care if people give them "pet" names.
11. Whats the oddest combo (in your opinion) that you've ever liked?
>I have no idea.
12. Do you go through phases with your names, or do you tend to stick with most of them?
>Hmm, a little of both. I've stuck to
Noel for a long time, but that's because it's a very important namesake.
13. If you're planning on having children, how many would you want?
>5 or 6. They'll all be adopted - chances that I'll still be fertile are slim. Even slimmer that I'll be fertile enough to give birth to a healthy baby.
14. Is there one name you'd really like to use, but feel like you can't for some reason or other? If so, what name and why.
>Well,
Henna, because of the connotation with the ink. I can't think of anything else.
15. Do you like nature/word names or think they're a bit too weird and non-namey?
>Depends on the name. I love the name
June. But
Rainbow is a little much.
