Hermione or Heidi?
Which one do you prefer and what are some middle name suggestions for it?
Thank you!

Heidi gets my vote for sure.:)

I'd take Hermione over Heidi. As far as associations go, I really try to not let certain people ruin my feelings for a name, but Heidi from The Hills really ruined it for me. Hermione doesn't remind me of Harry Potter.

Hermione, definitely. Heidi is cute, but it's harder to imagine on a grown woman. Hermione is Shakespearean and evokes Greek mythology. Yes, there's the HP aspect. But it's not a bad association and for all the hoop-la it's not the only association the name has.Hermione Imogen is my favorite combination. Others:Hermione Sophia
Hermione Lydia
Hermione Evelyn
Hermione Sibyl
Hermione Thais ("THAY-is?")(Does anyone know the pronunciation?)
Hermione Iris
Hermione Coral
Hermione Laurel
Hermione Willow
Hermione Linden
Hermione Pearl
Hermione Aurora
Hermione Celeste
Hermione Alix (variant of Alice, from Adelheid / Adelheidis. You get a subtle Heidi reference with this one)
Hermione Carys
Hermione Sinead
Hermione Aisling ("ASH-ling")
Hermione Isibeal ("ISH-bayl")
Hermione Juno

I love Hermione Alix. :-)I think there are multiple pronunciations of Thais. I'm pretty sure the Greek pronunciation is thah-EES. The Shakespearean name Thaisa is pronounced tie-EE-sə.

Thais is tie-EES, its my friends name

ThaisI'm pretty sure Thais is pronounced TAY-is, but I could be wrong to.

HeidiHeidi is cute, not very common, and an established name. Hermione has a whiny sound to me and is too pop culture.Heidi Jane
Heidi Summer
Heidi Jessica

I like them both.I think I prefer Heidi though just because the HP association with Hermione is a bit much.

Definitely Hermione. Heidi is so trendy, in Germany it's just old-fashioned.

Hermione is cool, but I think I prefer Heidi. It reminds me of the book/movie, so I think of mountains and meadows. Very nice. I like it with other country-y names:Heidi Abigail
Heidi Belle
Heidi Caroline
Heidi Charlotte
Heidi Clara
Heidi Emmaline
Heidi Sarah
Heidi Virginiaand some others:
Heidi Margaret
Heidi Olwen (hmmm)
Heidi Winifred (ooh!)

I prefer Hermione. It's very pretty and I love Harry Potter, however, the connection with the name might prove annoying for a young woman with that name (if she doesn't like HP that is!)
Heidi is also nice, but it does remind me of a rather naughty little girl.Hermione Primrose
Hermione Faye
