Name for a submissive girl
I am writing a story about a girl who gets into a BDSM relationship with an older man. She is Canadian, 25, very pretty, short, and full-figured with dark brown hair and brown eyes; is somewhat shy and reserved but very intelligent and strong-willed, despite her desire to serve her Master. She has a great sense of humour and is very chatty with the right people. Her background is Polish and Irish; names do not need to reflect this heritage. I want something that sounds feminine and a bit delicate but not overly-frilly. TIA!

Anja / Anya was the first name that came to mind.

I think you character would have a rather simple name, rather than a long one that commands attention (which I think would fit a dominatrix better). Some ideas:Aaren, or Erin
Aline
Anna
Annette
Anya
Clara
Catherine, Katelyn, or just Kate
Dora
Eileen, or Ilene
Eva, or Eve
Ever
Fallon
Mae (too obvious?)
Maureen, or Moreen
Myrna
Nessa
Nina
Rowan
Sara
Sophie
Tess
Willow
Winifred, "Win" or "Winnie"
WrenI would stay away from any -leigh, -lee, -lie, and even -ly names, since the movie "Secretary" has a similar premise, and in it Lee is the name of the submissive (Maggie Gyllenhaal in her breakthrough role).

I'd pick a name that does not seem submissive at all. Like Roxie or Maxine.

Mmmhmm. I've never written a story of this nature, but I have written a few female characters with meek personalities, whether it was with their man or everyone in general. A few names I've used are Constance, Elizabeth and Silvia, if it gives any ideas. For some reason Caroline came to mind reading the description.
