Re: What are your favorites & least favorites from my list?
Three faves:
Zoe, Iris, Cassandra
Cassius, Demetrius, CharlesOthers I like:
Isidora, Willa, Sibyl, Corinne, Tessa, Jane, Chloe
Dimitri, Jordan, Orion, Leo, James, Asher, Andrew, JasperThree least faves:
Felicity, Evangeline, Coraline
Tobias, Felix, WalterZoe - to me this seems so versatile. It's modest, ageless, classic, not too sophisticated and not too simple, not too feminine but enough.
Veronica - The sound of this name just does not appeal to me personally.
Selene - is neat, although I don't find it striking unless it is Se-LEE-nee.
Thalia - I say Thal-ee-uh. It's nice - I think it's a little prissy in real life, maybe. I heard someone calling her daughter Talia (TAL-ee-uh) "Tally" at the park and it was unappealing imo. I prefer Dahlia (which I prn more the way you say Thalia - Dah-lee-uh)
Magdalena - seems kind of overbaked or European for my style. The gd is heavy. But I think it's a good classic name.
Adeline - personally I don't care for the addle sound in Adel-names. Also this sounds old-ladyish to me. It's not a bad name, I just don't like it
Alice - I just don't like it (dated, sound)
Cleo - seems like it puts on airs IMO, and when the airs wear off it's just sort of clunky. I like it on paper but I don't think I'd care for it IRL
Isidora - I like this. Lots of nickname possibilities and the name itself does not feel as frilly as it might. You even get Sid as a possible nick from Isidora (but Sad from Isadora. I hate Isadora, it's sorta like Aydun to me, slurred like it's drunk - too drunk to remember it isn't Isabella).
Phoebe - bright name, classic, sophisticated, ageless. nms because of sounds but still I think it is likeable on your kid.
Natalia - alright. Kinda frilly, and I do notice the reference to Christmas. Names with second syllable stress rarely appeal to me
Amelia - uh, mealy, uh. Bad in my accent imho
Felicity - twee and annoying and .. UGH
Willa - okay. Liable to be mistaken for Willow. Nice name though, modest but dignified.
Sibyl - I get a slight bad-girl vibe from Sibyl but I do like it and think it's usable
Corinne - one of those really prissy names that is so shamelessly prissy, it's cool. Could get mixt up with Karen
Coraline - seems flimsy to me
Tessa - nice. Meh ... I like it.
Iris - this is sort of trendy but I think it's great. It's like Violet but without any of the shrinking or violent. Delicate but powery
Cassandra - I like it. I don't find it striking on paper but IRL it can be.
Chloe - I think it's a nice name. Just seems a little bit gimmicky / brandnamey / overexposed somehow, to me. It's Ashley's sister.
Jane - basically faultless except for not being very international.
Evangeline - don't like it, has strong religious connotation, so that I think Evangeline comes from an evangelist family. Please don't evangelize me, Evangeline.
Althea - I like this okay but I met a cat Althea and found the name was kind of hard to say all the time.Dimitri - like it. A little "foreign" to me but I love the sound of it.
Gregory - sounds very modest and industrious to me. sounds are nms. Dated, too
Tobias - toe bias. I hate this name lots. Fusty and prissy
Jason - nice. Dated and overexposed in my lifetime. A dad name maybe
Augustus - Gloop. nms, seems prissy. I prefer Augustin or Agostino
Jude - this is sort of a GP to me because I like the sound of it but it also has a greasy, smarmy image for me.
Jordan - I like this name.
Charles - a great classic, I only like it if I can call him Charlie though. I knew a Charles who went by Charles and geez, I thought it seemed very dorky in familiar use.
Orion - cool name. Nms really, seems sort of like a spinoff of Ryan at this point, but it's cool.
Walter - this is square IMO
Samuel - I like Sam a lot. Don't care for the sound & image of Samuel though.
Leo - cool name; has been on my list - but for me it a little bit of the same attitude problem that Jude has.
James - tweedy but it's so normal and dignified that I can't fault it. nms
Luke - nms, bibley and has a weird hypermasculine vibe for me
Silas - hissy, wimpy, fusty, sinister to me
Joshua - ruined for me by exposure, and I never liked the sound of it in the first place.
Felix - nms, seems so weak. Feel licks.
Asher - good name, handsome and butch. nms personally but likeable
Andrew - eh. It's dated and I was overexposed. It's a good name though. I like nn Drew a lot
Aaron - again, dated and I was overexposed. Ruined by someone I knew. Good manly name tho
Perseus - cool on paper, but Percy is sort of gimmicky, like Marquis or something
Cassius - I like that. I'm the same as you with pronunciation.
Jasper - good name, not sure I think it grows up to be very sophisticated
Demetrius - I like that too. Better than Dimitri. I think you found two of the very few -us names I like.

You were really thorough, which was very helpful. As for Thalia, I pronounce it the same way as you, I just wasn't sure how to write it phonetically. So thanks, I changed it on my post. Your post had some great points, so thanks for your help!
