I like it well enough. I don't think I would use it myself, but I am related to Churchill on my mother's side.

Cool! I wish I had a famous leader as a relative, even if it was distant. I'd be one to brag all the time about it.

If you have an ancestry.com account, you can download the "We're Related" app for your phone and it will tell you if you're related to any famous people (even distantly) or your social media connections if they use We're Related. :)

My friend just had a Winston in spring. I thought is was pretty nerdy, but that's not a bad thing in my books. I'm a nickname person, so I'm a bit unsure how it could be shortened, but I don't mind it. Sadly, I completely forget what middle name they used.

It's used much more frequently than I thought! I didn't realize it hasn't left the top 1000 all century.

Thank you! Christopher Winston is great. Makes him a bit friendlier.

Well, there's still the Churchill thing. And it's become a generic name for domestic bulldogs. Not to mention the nn Winnie. I really wouldn't give it a thought.

Winston Curtis is very adorable. Thanks for these suggestions, Winston Bernard is my favorite. It's very distinguished but also definitely has the capability of having a good sense of humor. (Also, imagine if Winston Churchill found out a kid was named after both him AND Bernie Sanders?! The socialism would kill him.)

I'm bad at combos, but I love the name Winston. That's my contribution. LOVE.There is a black cat that is missing one ear that has started to hang around our house. My daughter started feeding him. So of course he continues to hang around. She made him a cold weather shelter made out of a water cooler inside of a plastic storage container. So of course he hangs around. She looked up online how to make one.She named him Watson, but I keep calling him Winston by accident. It's just what comes out of my mouth.

It's a great pet name for sure!My dad and I have been feeding a feral cat but I never thought to make a cold weather shelter. That's a good idea. I wonder if someone would take it away though because we actually feed it in a fairly public place (near an apartment complex).

Winston tastes good like a cigarette should. As a person's name it feels comical and goofy. It is a great dog name though.
