I don't mean names that are trendy in themselves like Waverly or Everly.
I'm kind of wondering which old fashioned names you think will be trendy in 5-10 years. Which names do you hear more and more often?
I was reminded of this by the Olive thread because Olive felt like such a trend in the 2000s and so did Hazel and Mabel to an extent, but they are just starting to become popular now.
Any ideas?

If you had to pick 5 for boys and 5 for girls that you think are most likely, what would they be?

Alistair - this name cracked the top 1000 in 2016.
Amos - fresh and classic at the same time.
Harris - has a modern vibe.
Jethro - lost gem from the Bible. Sounds cool.
Ross - sounds traditional, like Adam or Nicholas.
Girls:
Beatrix - the 'x' makes it sound modern.
Betty - it's a timeless name.
Harriet - vintage.
Mabel - evergreen name.
Nellie - it got in the top 1000 (863) in 2019.
Unisex:
Billie - popular culture (Billie Eilish).
Courtney - traditional.
Dale - sounds fresh.
Kris - popular culture (Kris, from the videogame 'Deltarune').
Ollie - Oliver and Olivia are very popular.

This is just based on feeling and nothing at all on actual growths in popularity I've noticed.
I can see Agnes gaining popularity. Maybe Agatha too, but Agnes seems more palatable. It might take longer than 5-10 years for this to happen, though. Someone below mentioned Betty. I agree with this and think Betsy too and Sally as you mentioned. I wouldn't be surprised if names like Maxine and Lucille gain popularity before too terribly long. I think June is already catching on a bit. I think the trend for girl names will be for less Jane Austen flowy classics like Isabella and Sophia and a little more for names with harder edges.
I have less to say about boy names. I think people are searching for alternatives to formerly "quirky" names that have gone mainstream, like Oliver, Henry, and Arthur, and that has led parents to names like Otto, Jasper, Rufus, and as someone else mentioned, Amos.

Lucille was used in the Final Fantasy franchise. I do like the name, but by god we had this friend who would purposely re-route every conversation back to Final Fantasy and Mortal Kombat (games none of us had ever played) so it's a little tarnished for me xD
My point is, it was used in a popular media so I believe it could rise soon too
But yeah boys names are harder, people tend to be less inventive with masculine names and stick to classics

Me too. I used to dislike Agnes but now I think it has a soft and pretty sound. I also like Oanez. Maxine and Lucille have a lot of potential, but I'm never sure about Maxine because for some reason Max and Maxwell had such a short time being popular (I thought they would really take off and end up in the top 10 but for some reason that never happened). About Agatha I'm not so sure. It is possible but it has three syllables so my guess is that it could get shortened to Aggie which doesn't seem appealing. However, I do like the full form, it is witchy in a good way.
I agree with June. I hope Otto becomes a bit more fashionable, I really like it. I also like Rufus (and Rupert) more and more. Arthur has a really good shot, I think. It is really handsome. I love Oliver.

Amos is possible, Harry Potter also features a character and all the names from that series rose a lot last year (most outside of the top 1000, but the number of little Dracos and Hermione went up quite a lot). I'm wondering if the closeness to Amy and Amanda will hold it back though.
Betty has a good chance. Sally is starting to feel modern and cool to me and Betty is similar in style.
