Evan
What do you think of Evan? Do you like it on a girl? What would you pair it with?

Fits right into this group: Evan, Derek, Jesse, Adam, Devin, Eric, Owen, Andrew, Aaron, Alex, Nathan, Zach, Ben, Nick, Joshua, Justin, Stefan...Those are boys I knew in elementary school in the 90s. It seems like it'd be more of a dad name now. It doesn't sound bad, though - not quite as bland seeming to me as Ryan or Ian.It's fine for a girl (like Devin, Dylan, Reese, Jesse) but not particularly interesting or likable. I'd rather see Eve, Evangeline, Yvonne, Evelyn, Ivanna, Evren, Evadne for a girl unless Evan's an honoring name. There's so many similar girl names that I don't really see the point of it - or it might come across as a lazy choice. But, theoretically I think I prefer Evan to Heaven.Evan Justice
Evan Schuyler
Evan Herodotus
Evan Apolinar
Evan Waldo
Evan Rhys
Evan Christopher

I like it OK. Not a fave, but it's way better than Ethan, and better than Ivan.
It's understated. Doesn't grab attention. But sounds smart and friendly. A little slick.
Evan Albert, Evan Elijah, Evan Gabriel, Evan Martin?
On a girl - well, glamorous-imaged Evan Rachel Wood gives it a nice look, doesn't she? But, I have met many young women on whom I think it would seem unfortunate, just because of it being kind of a generic boys-name. It's like Ryan or Kevin as a gal name: It can work, but you can't really count on it not just seeming lame and awkward. I prefer Evanna (pronounced like Eve-Anna or like eh-VAH-na, but eh-VAN-a is ehh okay too, still better than Evan). An Evanna could certainly go by Evan, if that worked for her.

I love Evan, but it’s strictly a boys’ name in my book.

It's alright. Wouldn't use it myself since its only two letters different from my own name, but it's nice. Hate it on a girl though. Maybe Evan Alexander as a combo?

It's alright. It would be along with Vanessa because it's part of evanescent.
