[Opinions] Beatrix
I'm starting to fall in love with this name. I am expecting again and kind of hope I am having another girl, and I am seriously considering Beatrix. I don't know what on earth I would name a boy, but that is another conversation! Anyway, I think Beatrix would go well with my daughter's name Charlotte (who we often call Charlie). I just can't seem to think of a good middle name to go with it. Any suggestions? What do you think of Beatrix?:)

I love it! I have loved Beatrix forever. It's an awesome name and it sounds darling with Charlotte.I'm even kind of warming up to the occasional pet name of Trixie.

I've always loved Beatrix Estelle, but I think any sort of quirky classic can be paired with Beatrix. Such a great name!

I love Beatrix. It's on the usable list for DH and me, though we'd probably use it as a mn. I like the meaning/history of the name - a variant of Viatrix ("traveler") influenced by Beata ("blessed") which ends up meaning "blessed traveler" which is an idea I like. My husband is also a bit of a Latin geek and likes the -trix ending. It's also a nice blend of spunky and classic, as is Beatrice.Beatrix and Charlotte sound good together, and Charlie and Bea would be adorable.I'll do a mn suggestion for every letter I can think of one:Beatrix Alice
Beatrix Blythe
Beatrix Calista

Bix is cute! I never thought of that one! I really like that. I'm not in love with Trixie, but I do like Bea for a NN> Beatrix Pearl is very nice. I like:
Beatrix Eleanora
Beatrix Hazel
Beatrix Jemima is cute! LOL I don't think I could use Jemima though, it just reminds me of pancake syrup! ;P

I like Beatrix a lot. Even Trixie is growing on me as a nickname, and I used to despise it. I think Beatrix is really spunky while retaining an appealing old-fashioned vibe.

I wouldn't use Beatrix myself, but I like it. It's spunky.
I think Beatrice would fit in better with Charlotte. Beatrix fits very well with the nn Charlie though.

I'm thinking something simple like Beatrix Anne or Beatrix Rose is fitting simply because one does not hear Beatrix all that often these days--at least where I live--and it would be something simple to pair with the more unusual Beatrix. I don't know though, I'm not usually into "common" or "filler" middle names. But in this case they work. Beatrix Margaret is also sweet, as is Beatrix Claire.

When the first name is uncommon, a "filler" middle name doesn't sound so bad. Emma Grace, Isabella Rose, etc. sound kind of boring, but Beatrix Anne or Beatrix Rose sound fresh in comparison.

I completely agree!

Aww, very sweet.
I'm going to try to suggest combos that won't be suggested by everyone else but won't be that weird.Beatrix Daphne
Beatrix Petra - this one is very trippingly

The "x" and accompanying sound is off-putting to me. I like Beatrice much more than Beatrix, but I don't mind Beatrix on someone else's kid I suppose.I really like the idea of Charlotte and Beatrice... Charlie and Bea. Seems so adorable to me!

I really like Beatrice too. I'm kind of torn between the two actually!

Or, how about Charlie and Bee? Your very own buzzing, bumble bee. :-)

Either way Charlie and Bea/Bee would be adorable. :D

That's exactly what I had in mind. :)

Beatrix has grown on me so much too! I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough to use it, but maybe one day. I'd love to meet a baby Beatrix. It does go well with Charlotte and I think the nn Trixie is really cute. Some combo ideas:
Beatrix Holly
Beatrix Persephone
Beatrix Valentina
Beatrix Greer
Beatrix Rose
Beatrix Lily
Beatrix Genevieve
Beatrix Vivian
Beatrix Willow
Beatrix Penelope
Beatrix Poppy
Beatrix Rosalie
Beatrix VeronicaHope that helps!
