Josephine nn Effie
I'm not planning for kids anytime soon, but I've been thinking of adding this one to my shortlist lately. My late cousin and grandfather were both named Joseph, and the name is pretty darn cute and vintage. So is Effie imo. WDYT of Josephine and Effie?
Any combo ideas? Either two or three name combos are fine. Josephine Corinne Amy is coming to mind at the moment, which is unusual because I normally do not think my own name (Amy) works well in combos.

Thanks! I also think Efthalia's really pretty, but perhaps a bit too unusual for Americans--maybe if I was of Greek descent.
If my name was Josephine I'd go by Jo, but she has options.

I can't stand Jo on a girl actually, probably because there are several male Joe's in my family, so it doesn't sound feminine at all to me. Luckily I think Josephine's uncommon enough that it shouldn't be too hard to push for either Effie or the full name Josephine instead. If she ends up preferring Jo or even Josie when she's older though, that's fine. Options is a good thing.
Thanks for all the combos! I especially like...

I know one Josephine. People call her either Josephine or sometimes Jojo. I personally haven't witnessed others calling her Jo. I think because Josephine's so uncommon these days, people are less likely to automatically shorten it or will ask what nickname you prefer. I'm sure some of the older generation will attempt to shorten to Jo (which I hate actually) or Josie without asking, but she will just have to introduce herself as Effie. I don't mind if they prefer to call her by her full name instead though.
Keep in mind Corinne would be pronounced cor-RINN. I think without a last name, Corinne at the end sounds better, but Amy on the end would actually flow better with most last names in my mind.

I really like it, especially the Effie part. That really is fun and vintage! Josephine is fantastic.
Josephine Corrine Amy is unexpected and pretty nice - I'm not super into the -ine -ine ending echo on the first two names but it's a very warm grouping of names: all these names sound like such nice people!
I think Amy works GREAT in combos, especially with Josephine! I'd be so excited to see Amy used more often as a middle name, it's so sweet.
Other ideas:
Josephine Ivy Eudora
Josephine Violet Norah
Josephine Hazel Minerva
Josephine Lillian Clara
Josephine Cleo Aurora
Josephine Juliet Eloise
Josephine Imogen Audrey
Josephine Pearl Moira
Josephine Isabel Laura
Josephine Jane Millicent
Josephine Opal Edwina
Josephine Daphne Elvira
Josephine Lucy Christina
Josephine Mirabel Flora
Wow there's something addicting about making 3-name combos with Josephine

I'm glad you like it! Thanks for all your feedback.
I think Amy can certainly be unexpected and fun in the middle slot, but seems tough to pair in my experience. I agree it happens to work well with Josephine.
I like most of these combos! Josephine Opal is sticking out to me. The following also come to mind...
Josephine Amy Pearl
Josephine Mirabelle Amy

Ugh. The plain, almost crude, nickname Effie ruins the more sophisticated Josephine. Josephine has far nicer diminutives to choose from that don’t detract from its charm. Effie completely lacks charm. Even Sephie (which is more intuitive, at least to me) would be better than Effie.
Josephine Corinne Amy is ok.
Other suggestions off the top of my head with mostly vintage vibes:
Josephine Ruby Claire
Josephine Lily
Josephine Annabel
Josephine Bellamy
Josephine Cora Rose
Josephine Esther Pearl
Josephine Violet

Tell me how you really feel about Effie! Haha it's all good...It's not a common name, so I expect a lot of people will have varying opinions about it.
I first fell for Effie as a teen after reading Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The character Lena was of Greek heritage and had a sister named Effie. I always imagined her nickname was short for or honoring someone with Greek name Efthalia. I thought it was adorable, but I'm sure many other people get old lady vibes from it, etc.
Cute combos, thanks! I think Josephine Violet and Josephine Esther Pearl are the most appealing.
