Robert
I know it's kind of boring, but wdyt of Robert Alexander? I had a name dream about it the other night and I really like it.I'd also like some other suggestions for mn's for Robert. Robert Luther is a favorite of mine, but I'm looking for some new ideas as well. Throw out anything you want, I'll leave it completely open. :)Thanks in advance!

Robert LeoI like Robert Luther and Rob as a nn, since I think it needs one. Hate Robbie and Bob and Bobby.
Robert Leo was a close relative of mine. I think the two names go well together.

Robert Alexander is the smarmy kid who gets everyone beer in The Cat Ate My Gym Shorts. I think. I know his name, and I know he's sort of a pedantic jerk, but I don't remember if he's the one with the party with all the beer. In any case, that's what I associate the combo with.Robert Luther is fine, and Robert Lemuel strikes me, but that's because both R & L are family names of mine. ;)ArrayETA: Robert Anaximander. Not in the database, but it's legit. :)

Robert, though totally not my usual style, is growing on me. My boyfriend's sister's fiancee is named Robert, and he's a pretty cool guy, so I have a positive association with the name. (BTW, in case you were wondering, his name is Robert Skees. Yes, Skees is his middle name. Yes, Skees is pronounced like Skiis.)I'm not particularly fond of Robert Alexander. It's perfectly respectable, it's just a bit boring. Robert Luther is pretty cool, though. :)Some other combos (totally random; I apologize for any repeats):Robert Aramis
Robert Cyrus
Robert Davis
Robert Desmond
Robert Dominic
Robert Edmond
Robert Elliot
Robert Felix
Robert Gavin
Robert Gideon
Robert Giovanni
Robert Henry
Robert Holden
Robert Joel
Robert Lewis
Robert Milo
Robert Morgan
Robert Napoleon
Robert Oliver

Robert Alexander is great.
Robert Leith is my suggestion "instead of" R. Luther (although if you're Lutheran, that's probably not what you're looking for).

Naw, I'm not Lutheran, just love the name and some of the guys. :DRobert Leith could totally work. Thanks!

I like Alexander as a MN, but it is terribly boring with Robert. I'm on the fence about Robert as a name. Bob is entirely too cutesy as a NN, but Rob seems cocky and annoying to me, but Robert begs a NN. I prefer it without one, though. Robert Luther has a lot more character than Robert Alexander. I am friends with a Robert Lamar. (Or maybe it's Lamont? I don't remember, but he hates it haha.)

That's the word!Rob seems cocky and annoying to meThere was something about Rob I couldn't put my finger on, something I didn't like. So yeah, I totally agree on that. :)About nn's, I have a cousin Robert who only goes by Robert. I've never heard him called anything else, so I could see it working without one, which I was planning on.

Hmm yes but you can't control what kids will get called at school etc, he could end up going by Rob and there will be nothing you can do about it. I worry about this with a lot of my favourite names!

May I point out that everytime I see/hear Luther I think of a person with a lisp trying to say Loser? There. I said it. I will not lose sleep tonight.

I kinda like Robert. As a kid he can be called Bobby or Robbie (my personal fave!) which are both adorable nn. And I really like Alexander as a mn. I also like:
Robert Keith
Robert Daniel
Robert Trent
and
Robert Miles
