Like this for a girl...I like Remy for a girl. In fact, in a story I'm writing, one of the female characters called Remembrance goes by the nn Remy. I do think it is a name in its own right, though.I like it for a boy too, it just happens that I prefer it for a girl.

I imagine it on a beautiful thin, dark French dood with a cigarette in his mouth. Nice picture :)I think it might be a bit hard for lots of English-speakers to pronounce. I know I want to pronounce it REM-ee (which I like the sound of), even though I know that's not correct. Mind you no one gets my name right either and it's quite simple, and if everyone chose names that were easy to pronounce we'd just have a bunch of Emmas an Janes and Bobs and Arts.

That's how i would have said it, REM-ee.

Met a female Remy todayShe pronounces her name (REE mee) and her full name is Remy Louise. I have never heard of the name before this morning so I put it in the female category right away. Now that I now it is supposed to be masculine, it still looks feminine to me.Remy needs a very masculine middle name like Remy Octavian or Remy Frederick.

I adore it but I only like the French pronunciation reh-mee. I think it's a great nickname for Remington as well. I haven't thought about middle names...maybe Rémy Alexander.
