[Opinions] Sebastian
WDYT of Sebastian? It's my favorite for a boy at the moment. I think it's a lovely name, but some people tell me that it's too long and/or pretentious (there are numerous other names similar in length to Sebastian, but they usually don't complain about them). Combo ideas are welcome as well.

Sebastian is without a doubt one of my FAVORITE boy names of all time! It's classic and familiar, but still rather unique. I've never met anyone called Sebastian. Sebby is the cutest and most adorable nn ever, and Bastian is good too if you prefer something more mature. It also means venerable!Sebastian Adair

My little boy is called Sebastian. I used to doubt our name choice before my son was born, mainly because so many people (online) told me it was pretentious. I've had nothing but complimets on his name irl. Complete strangers tell me what a great name he has.Use what you love. I'm biased of course, but it's an awesome name.:)

If people tell you it's too long, they're just trying to come up with an excuse not to like it. I bet those same people wouldn't complain about Christopher and it's even longer.I adore Sebastian. It is a bit stuffy, but not in a way that makes it pretentious, I don't think. Or maybe that's just my style. I like that it seems classic and refined.

I LOVE Sebastian. I never used to like it so much until (this is kinda silly) I played Dragon Age 2, which has a main character named Sebastian. Even though I dislike the character, hearing his name so often made me really like the name. I don't think it's pretentious at all. People just complain about it, because it is a bit more unusual than say Alexander.I like to pronounce it with four syllables (seh-BAST-ee-en) so people would really complain about the name being pretentious then. XD
