love it. cute but also dignified. rubies have a lot of great symbolic meaning, including Biblical meaning and historical significance. so it's much more than just a random pretty thing as a name.
n what about:
Ruby Brigitta
Ruby Gabrielle
Ruby Fiona
Ruby Jacqueline
Ruby Helena
Ruby Catherine
Ruby Berenice
Ruby Magdalene
Ruby Sophia
Ruby Eileen
Ruby Sylvia
Ruby Diana

It's glitzy but grounded.
I liked it a decade or two ago. I'd probably still like it if 'rube' wasn't a word (it's hard for me to look past that now).
Ruby Eliza
Ruby Sophronia
Ruby Octavia
Ruby Seraphina
Ruby Veronica
Ruby Minerva
Ruby Fidelia
Ruby Cassandra
Ruby Penelope
Ruby Irene

I like the idea of Ruby (because of the pretty gemstone) more than the actualy name. The back-of-the-throat ru-/rube- sound turns me off. Also, the word “rube” is really unflattering, and “Ruby” sounds like a nn for somebody who is one.
If somebody were to use it, I could see these middle names sounding okay with it:
Ruby Alexandra
Ruby Alice
Ruby Andromeda
Ruby Camille
Ruby Cecilia
Ruby Celeste
Ruby Davina
Ruby Francesca
Ruby Isidora
Ruby Jane
Ruby Lavinia
Ruby Leandra
Ruby Margaret
Ruby Maud
Ruby Millicent
Ruby Ovidia
Ruby Perdita
Ruby Tabitha
Ruby Theodora
Ruby Verena

I think Ruby is very cute, in a slightly hillbilly way. It's almost a bit too cute, like Daisy; I'd name a pet Ruby before I named a girl Ruby, I think. (In fact, when my mother and stepfather were about to get their dog, Ruby was a top contender for her name. They ended up naming her Penny, but I think Ruby would have suited her too.)
Ruby Ellen
Ruby Estelle
Ruby Jo (this is actually kind of adorable as a double name)
Ruby Lou (this, on the other hand, is awful and as sickly-sweet as Nutella)
Ruby Kathleen
Ruby Amelia

I love the name Ruby, it's my absolute fave girl name. It's beautiful, feminine, spunky, ages well and I love the jewel connection. My fave combo is Ruby Mae, I just love it. Others I love are Ruby Elizabeth, Ruby Esther, Ruby Evelyn, Ruby Alice, Ruby Ada, Ruby Amelia, Ruby Hannah, Ruby Jemima, Ruby Johanna, Ruby Katherine, Ruby Louisa, Ruby Celeste, Ruby Clara, Ruby Matilda, Ruby Miriam, Ruby Martha and Ruby Mabel.
AW Ruby Annabelle that's my two nieces!
Such a cute, red little name.
My niece is Ruby Frances. This doesn't fully satisfy me. I once had a dream she learned how to write her middle name and it came out Ruby Gwendolyn. That's been my go-to combo ever since.
More? You need more?
Ruby Josephine always occurs to me. Josephine feels like a very propped-up name, though. Like a neck at the top of a starched collar. Gwendolyn and Ruby both feel like handfuls of big, pretty jewels - handleable names. Annabelle is pretty handleable too. What are some handleable classics that complement Ruby? Hmm...
Ruby... uh, Velvet. (I have a student named Velvet so I think it's a normal name now)
Ruby Thekla
Ruby Amanda
Ruby Francine
Ruby Isabelle
