None of these names is surprising, considering the time period in which these students were born.
There are a LOT of names here that, to me, are wildly overused, but I do LIKE some of them. Some commentary follows:
Not a huge fan: Alyse (pronunciation here? If it's akin to Alice, then I prefer Alice; Elise? Then I prefer Elise or Elyse); Anna Shea (just the Shea part, also these two names just don't gel to me); Annie (as a given name, no); Ashley (eh); Ava (overdone); Carly (it's fine, just not my kind of name); Fabiola (I like seeing this used! I just don't care for it); Gabbie (fine as nickname); Hailey (just overdone, I think); Kaitlyn (fine but overdone); Katie (fine as nickname); Kayla Rae (I dislike Rae used in this... and most contexts); Kennedy (not my kind of name); Lainey; Lauren (so overused); Layla; Lilly (I dislike variant spellings of this name); Maggie (kind of bleh as a nickname); Makenzie (not a fan); Maya (fine just not my kind of name); Nori Kai (I feel like there's a story here); Paulina; Payton; Samantha (so overused); Samia; Sophi (just go with Sophie? Sophia?); Taigh; Tiffany; Tirzah; Ayden; Breton; Cameron; Charlie; Croix; Denver; Dylan;
Gage; J.T. (fine as nickname); Jack (fine as nickname); Jackson; Jaxon; Joe (fine as nickname); Kavan; Kaylor; Keegan; Korin; Lance; Logan; Nic; Qai; Riley; Savon; Sawyer; Skylar; Trever; Tyler; Whit; Will
Like: Anna; Calista / Callista (despite myself); Camille; Emily (despite is being so overused); Emma (my mom's name); Grace (it's used to death and I've known probably a dozen but its nice); Hannah (overused but pretty); Helena; Hope; Isabella (definitely prefer Isabel, though); Jillian (prefer Gillian); Jocelyn; Kyra; Lily; Mia; Natalia; Zoe; Calvin; Christian; Connor; Corbin Drew (I like Corbin, I like Andrew, I dislike this duo because I dislike Drew as a given name); Evan (kind of meh); Ian; Jacob; Langston; Lucas; Luke; Mark; Noah (done to death); Omar Andre (I don't know that I could use this but I like this pairing actually); Patrick; Steven; Thomas
