sisters for Leo?
Hi :)Me and my boyfriend are looking for names. We chose Maeve for a girl and Jared for a boy, but I'm having twin girls (!!!) Which is so seriously cool, and one will be Maeve, but we have no ideas for the other one or middle names for either.
Our son is 2, and says we should call them Beanie and Blue.
We do not really agree with him.
(His name is Leo Alexander, so names like Leah and Alexandria are no good)Anyway, I guess we're looking for a first name that goes with Maeve. We like Zoe okay, only the letters are almost the same as Leo so were not sure. I found some names I love like Calanthe and Estelle but my boyfriend says they are too princessy. Maybe I can make him say yes to them as middle names, though!
We also thought of Anya.Does anyone have ideas?

Maeve and Oona? Maeve Estelle and Oona Josephine would be pretty. Or maybe:Maeve and Eloise
Maeve and Elinor
Maeve and Fiona
Maeve and Helena
Maeve and Vivien / Vivian / Vivienne
Maeve and Iris
Maeve and Ianthe (like Calanthe but less princessy, plus it subtly matches the unusual double vowel in mAEve)
Maeve and Xanthe
Maeve and Greer
Maeve and Bryony
Maeve and Blythe
Maeve and Theodora

I love Josephine as a middle name!
I love Xanthe too, and Vivian (lots of people were suggesting this!) and Bryony is very pretty. Ianthe is also lovely and a bit less princessy. Thank you!

What about Clodagh or Isobel?

Clodagh. It's Clo-da? It's got a nice sound but I don't think anyone will know how to say it unless they're Irish! Thank you though. It would be nice to have two Irish names.

Thank you!! :DWow, some of these names are so cool. We didn't think of giving them meanings that mean the same thing. But we're definitely using Maeve, so maybe one of these pairs will be good for middle names. I like Luna and Selene, and Milena and Mia.

Maeve and Margot sound very cute together :)
I really, really like Bethan though. I'm going to put that one on the list. It's getting to be a long list when before it was almost empty!

Hey, Jade is cool! I'm putting that one on the list. I like Calla too, and Anneliese, Mirabella and Willow for middle names.
Thanks for helping!

Congratulations! I love Maeve and Leo Alexander.I find Zoe really cutesy and yeah, it's a bit too close to Leo. Anya is sweet but I don't like that it's a nickname. What about Anna?Leo, Maeve, and...
Audrey
Claire
Clara
Iris
Bronwen
Camille
Sarah
Caroline
Alice
Naomi
Zara
Noelle
Petra
Rose
Violet
Simone
Calista (maybe your boyfriend would prefer this to Calanthe?)
Willa
Isabel

Thankyou!!
We're neither of us not very keen on Anna, but I like Naomi and Audrey from your list. And maybe Camille as a middle name! It's very pretty :)

Thanks! Lots of people are suggesting Tessa and Ruby. Ruby is really nice and it sounds great with Leo :)

Leo, Maeve and Zoe is a super cute set. I like that a lot, and I don't think Zoe and Leo are too samey.Maeve Anya and Zoe Estelle would be sooo pretty. My go-to Leo sibset is Leo & Norma, because they are constellations, but Norma's not everyone's thing. Leo, Maeve and Lyra? Leo, Maeve and Carina? Leo, Maeve and Delphine?Leo, Maeve and Phoebe
Leo, Maeve and Lucy
Leo, Maeve and Stella
Leo, Maeve and Calista (super princess, that...but easily shortened to Callie)
Leo, Maeve and Calliope
Leo, Maeve and Anthea
Leo, Maeve and XantheOr you could take little Leo's comments into consideration and call them Maeve Azure and Zoe Fabienne ... middle names meaning blue and bean, respectively! ;)

Good! Thanks! I'm so happy that people don't seem to think that Leo and Zoe are too much the same.
Maeve Anya and Zoe Estelle are really lovely. I love them like that and we'd get to use both Anya and Zoe and I'd get to use Estelle! It's a really great idea.I love Lyra too (like from The Northern Lights) and Stella. And Calista! But there's no way my boyfriend will agree to that. I know already. Fabienne really does mean bean! Omg, that would be SO funny. I don't like the sound of them much though. We've started called them Beanie and Blue just for lols and it's very catching. Imagine if we tagged them on for real!
Maeve Anya Beanie and Zoe Estelle Blue.:D

Zoe Estelle is gorgeous. I love it!

Nice choices! What about June, Iris, Stella, Doris, Violet, or Tess?

Thanks! Stella is great. It's like Estelle but not princessy at all.

Maeve and Zoe are gorgeous for sisters. It doesn't matter if the letters are similar in Leo and Zoe, as the sounds are entirely different. I don't personally like Calanthe at all, but Estelle is pretty. Other ideas would be: Arianna, Alice, Audrey, Sabrina, Sophie, Sadie, Daisy, Freya, Felicity, Grace, Gemma, Hazel, Heidi, Hannah, Jemima, Jane, Kate, Louisa, Lucy, Lorelei, Laura, Lila, Phoebe, Poppy, Pearl, Olivia, Imogen, Iris, Ivy, Tabitha, Tess / Tessa, Ruby, Rose, Rosalie, Rosemary, Ruth, Rhiannon, Edie, Evie, Eve, Eva, Emma, Emily, Esther, Emmeline, Eliza, Zara, Clara,

You think Zoe is okay with Leo? It'd be great if it was cos we both really like it. The sound *is* different so maybe it doesn't matter about the letters.
My boyfriend doesn't like Calanthe either!
This is a lovely long list of names. Thanks so much! I'm making a list to attack him with when he gets home :D Emmeline, Louisa and Rosalie are going on for middle names, and Ruby as a first name. Lots of people are suggesting Ruby and Tessa!

Thanks! People seem to like Anya :)
Thanks for you suggestions! I love Seren, I really do. And Rhian and Calla too.

Ooh, Leo, Maeve and Anya would be lovely. I'm not sure about Beanie but maybe you could use a name that means "blue". I think it would be sweet if he got to play a little part in naming his sisters. I am especially fond of the name Nila which means "dark blue". other suggestions:
Leo, Maeve and Ada
Leo, Maeve and Adela
Leo, Maeve and Annika
Leo, Maeve and Clara
Leo, Maeve and Claire
Leo, Maeve and Daphne
Leo, Maeve and Hazel
Leo, Meave and Jemima
Leo, Maeve and Nina
Leo, Maeve and Ruby
Leo, Maeve and Tessa
Leo, Maeve and Vivienne

I like Anya too! I'm making a list now and that one is on it.
Nila is kind of cool. It'd be funny if we did let Leo name them! Maybe we can find names that mean those things and use them as middles but 'bean' might be hard!I like Nina and Ruby and Tessa. Thanks!

My first thought was Mackenzie. It sounds Irish like Maeve, and I think it sounds adorable together:) Maeve Calanthe and Mackenzie Estelle:)
vote up1
Mackenzie has a really cool sound, and Maeve and Mackenzie are really fun to say. I like them starting with the same letter and I love them both with Calanthe and Estelle like that too!But I was reading the comments for Mackenize just now and a lot of people hate it. They're saying it's stupid and ignorant because Mackenzie means "son of Coinneach."
Which I think is a bit stupid because all the boys named Mackenzie aren't going to have dads called Coinneach. Some people say it's nice, but I don't want give my daughter a name that heaps of people hate :(

I love Leo Alexander! I think Celtic/Gaelic/Welsh/Irish names would make for a nice complement to Maeve (love it as well):Ailsa
Fiona
Gwendolen
Aine
Deirdre
Carys
Isla
Catrin, Catriona, Caitrona
Rhiannon
Aisling
CiaraHope this helps!

Thanks!!
Aisling is so cool. But sounds a lot like Ashley and everyone is called Ashley, so I think people might hear it wrong. But it's such an awesome name! I'll test it out on people and see if they hear it right :D
And it says that Aine is pronounced Awn-ya, which I think sounds really great with Maeve. It's nearly the same as Anya but it's softer.
